The Weekend in Photos

Happy Monday everyone! This weekend flew by! We finally got all of our Christmas decorations down and packed away. We usually take things down during the first few days of January…but just didn’t have time this year. Are you the type of person who puts everything away the day after Christmas? Or do you wait forever to take it all down like me? Putting away Christmas stuff always makes me really sad.
Our poor empty tree waiting to be recycled.
All of our Christmas stuff packed up and ready for next year!
Despite being sad, it always feels good to have a fresh clean house after everything is put away.

I worked most of Saturday, so we had a pretty low key weekend and spent lots of time snuggling with sweet Sophie. She’s grown so much in two weeks! I keep telling her to stop so that she can stay a baby forever.

She’s become quite good buds with Wrigley…she’s even tried to eat his food! It makes me so happy that everyone gets along.

How was your weekend?
P.S.  Did anyone watch the new TV show The Firm, on NBC? I watched the first half of the premiere and really liked it. It is the same characters from the movie, just 10 years later. I hope it sticks around!

Awww Sophie is adorable!! I still have all of my Christmas decorations up! I can't help it – I like to enjoy them after the craziness is all over. Maybe I'll put it up next weekend. 🙂 I just got around to actually posting about Christmas. haha

I hate taking down my Christmas decorations too! It's so sad and proves that the Christmas season really is over. But I will agree that I love having a clean house afterwards with a fresh new pallet for decoration! Happy Monday!

I took our Christmas decorations down on New Year's Day…super sad but it does feel good to start fresh. So glad Sophie is getting along with everyone! And I'm super intrigued about the Firm…loved the book/movie!

We took our Christmas decorations down this weekend, too, and everything looks so bare now. haha. We watched The Firm last night and thought it was really good!

I took my tree down two days after Christmas!! I was not fond of the color scheme that I chose this year. Hopefully next year will be better and I will not want to take it down!! I recorded The Firm last night but have yet to watch it! I hope that it is good – I loved that book!

    Sophie is too cute!

Normally I wait until just after Jan 1st to take down the decorations. This year we had to do it the day after Christmas because my husband was being deployed shortly after for three months. I knew I didn't want to wrestle with an 11' tree! Does anyone else feel like their house is so empty without all the decor?

Taking down Christmas and putting it away is the worst! I can't believe I missed The Firm. Actually, I can believe it as I've watched almost no TV lately, with the exception of football. I'll have to see if it's on demand or on my NBC app. Thanks for the reminder!

Shoes is one thing we can show our character or attitude. Choosing the best shoes depends on our likes and if it is comfortable to us.
