Hudson is all boy all the time. And I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love being a boy mom.
I think if I had a daughter, I would feel the same way about princess dresses, hair bows, and ballet slippers. That’s the funny thing about motherhood. Whatever your child is in to, you are in to too. You embrace it and love it because whatever makes your child happy, makes you happy too. Your child becomes your favorite person in the whole world.
Hudson and I had such a good day yesterday. We played at a new bounce house place and slid down the giant slide hand in hand together. For an hour! But he held my hand the entire time and his face lit up with pure joy. We ate mac n’ cheese. We spent a ton of time outside and went for a long walk in our red wagon. These are the moments I will cherish forever.
Motherhood is my greatest blessing.
If you’ve been reading my blog for a while you know that I also cherish the time I spent breastfeeding Hudson. Today I want to introduce you to a new resource that I think is really helpful if you are breastfeeding. It’s an app on your phone called iBaby.
Every nursing mother has at one point been fed up with scribbling notes on scraps of paper in the middle of the night to keep track of breastfeeding sessions. iBaby is an iPhone app now available in the app store ($0.99) that enables users to keep track of breastfeeding sessions by recording their time, duration, and side used. Data is stored in a daily summary page and can be retrieved and shared via email in a pdf format. The app also features a reminder so mothers can watch for early hunger cues.
Yay for the bounce house! sounds like such a great day!
I'll keep that app in mind for a few friends. Looks really easy to use.
I don't see any snow on the ground!! So exciting!
What a fun day! It's true what you said- whatever they're in to we are too!
I love days like those!! You're best friends and nothing else in the world matters. 🙂 Motherhood is the greatest blessing of all!!
That app looks great! I could have used that when I was up in the middle of the night writing in the notes section of my phone which side did what! Thanks! 🙂
Glad you guys had such a fun day together!
Keeping a mental note of the app. Thanks for the tip!
What a cutie he is!! All boy! And you're so right, your child becomes your favorite person 🙂
Yes!! I love being a boy mom too! I can't wait for the day when Weston is outside playing with his toys and Cooper. 🙂
you are absolutely right… at first i had no idea what to do with a boy, but now i am SO excited to get him a wagon and trucks and all kinds of boy toys!
also, fyi- what to expect has a free app that helps with BF. i dont think it's as in depth as this one appears to be, but it helps you remember what side and how long they nursed for.
Hudson is such a cutie. I agree, as a mom, you'll be into whatever they like because it makes them happy, which makes us happy. Bring on the trains and trucks! Will definitely have to remember that app in a few months when I begin this breastfeeding journey all over again. I'm so hoping we have a better outcome this time around. It's one of my biggest fears with #2.
Medela makes an app like this too, but I am sure you already know that. 🙂
What an absolutely fun day!! I love the picture of Hudson and his pup! So adorable!!
He's pretty much the cutest kid ever. You know, I have a chance of having a little redheaded guy. 🙂 Thanks for the app suggestion!
Aaah, how sweet. I, too, love being a boy mama. And a girl mama! I have 3 boys and 1 girl and each one adds so much to my life. I also like the grass in the picture as here in MN we are getting another 10 inches of snow. Is it heading your way?
Hudson is adorable!! You are right I am into what Ellie is in to, and I am sure it would be the same if I had a boy!!!
