Thoughts on Turning 30

Well, it’s official. I just turned 30. Or, as my co-worker would say, I just celebrated the 1st anniversary of my turning 29. Sounds better right?
Every day I wish I had the ability to freeze time, right where it is. This has nothing to do with me getting older but has EVERYTHING to do with Hudson growing so fast. I want to soak up every second of this time with him. In reality turning 30 was much more enjoyable than turning 20. I’m so much more comfortable with who I am now. And I LOVE my life with my two boys. I only wish I still had that 20 year old’s booty….
My birthday weekend started off right with a trip to Ikea on Friday with my mom. We bought a ton. I’ll do a recap once I get a chance to actually unload everything. I want to live in Ikea.
Then Hudson and went to the farmer’s market on Saturday morning while daddy worked.
We came home and he took an amazing 2 hour nap! Which is totally a cause for celebration in our house. So we partied down and played with the water table for almost an hour. Love my busy boy.
On Sunday, my actual birthday, we started off the day right at our favorite breakfast place. I know, wild and crazy right?
Yum.
Hudson was too interested in the table behind us to smile at mommy. He loves going out to eat.
We came home and my husband spoiled me and got me the camera (and a new lens!) on my wish list!!!! It is amazing and I’m already in love! I can’t wait to learn how to use it!
The rest of the day was spent playing with Hudson and taking a nap. It was perfect.
Then my mom babysat Hudson while my husband and I went out for dinner. We basically ate all day….can’t complain about that!
When you can’t decide what dessert to order, why not order three? I went to bed dreaming of this yumminess.
My mom then surprised me with this MK watch. It’s huge. But I love it!
And my sweet in-laws got me the Kendra Scott earrings I’ve been wanting for forever. I can’t take them off!
So far 30 isn’t so bad!
Thanks for all the birthday wishes on instagram. You guys are the best!

    Happy belated Birthday!

Can't wait to see more of what you picked up at Ikea! I need to get some baskets too for one of our expedit shelves.

All the food pictures have me dying for something indulgent!

I'm excited for you to start using your dSLR! I love mine! I've pinned a few tutorials etc on my "for photography" Pinterest board that have been really helpful. I was so confused by my camera for so long and only shot in automatic–which just wasn't doing it. The manual photos are SO much better!

    Have a great Monday!!
