Sadie Mae: 18 Months

My sweet girl is already 18 months old. How did that happen?
Sadie is just such a joy. I think I say that all the time, but it’s the truth. Don’t get me wrong, she’s sassy too. Big time. I think she gets it from her mama.

Here are a few things I never want to forget….

Sadie is OBSESSED with kitties. Her word for kitty is “kiki” which we all love so much we’ve started calling them that too. Her favorite toy is her black and white stuffed kitty and he must go wherever we go. I love that he made it in to our family photos….he’s something we’ll cherish forever. She’s looking at my screen as we speak and shouting “KIKI!!!” over and over.

Sadie LOVES her big brother (“Hudsey!”) and wants to do everything he does. She especially loves tackling him and sitting on top of him. Surprisingly Hudson handles it pretty well (most of the time).

Sadie loves being outside, no matter how cold it is. Sadie also loves to point to photos and identify everyone in them: “Mommy! Daddy! Hudsey!” and she points to herself and says “baby!” And her absolute favorite thing right now is Winnie the Pooh. She can name most of the characters but Pooh is by far her favorite.

She’s a great eater and will pretty much eat anything we put in front of her. But always requests a cookie when she’s done. She is bossy and will totally let you know when she’s not happy. But she has the sweetest personality and loves to give hugs and kisses. She has major separation anxiety when it comes to mommy…..church drop off is always rough because she starts crying as soon as she see’s her room. But whenever I pick her up she’s always laughing and playing and the nursery workers say she always has so much fun, so I know she’s fine!

And for my records….Sadie is a great sleeper at night! She usually sleeps 7:30pm-7:30am. For naps she has good days and bad days. A bad day is a 1 hour nap. A good day is 2+ hours.  She prefers to be rocked to sleep and because I love it so much, I indulge her. She doesn’t seem to take those amazing 3 hour naps that Hudson did at this age…but she sleeps better at night, so I’ll take it. Doctor’s appointment is this week, so I’ll have her official stats later.

We love our sweet girl!

Seriously, she is so precious! And "Kiki" is what Brielana calls Kinsey, so that just about melted my heart 😉
