Oh Hey Friday

Oh Hey Friday….so nice to see you again. Let’s do this. 5 things….

{one} If you follow me on Instagram (and if you don’t, why aren’t you? @girlintheredshoes) you know we’ve had lots of bike drama at our house. This guy now owns two bikes. One regular bike with training wheels and one balance bike. #spoiled.

But I could just die from the cuteness.

{two} On Tuesday while driving Hudson home from school I must have had just one hand on the steering wheel and he told me “two hands mommy, two hands!” When did my kid get smarter than me? And where on earth did he learn that? (picture is of him going through the car wash with me for the first time….he loved it!)

{three} Have you heard Kacey Musgraves’s new song, Biscuits? Oh my word. Listen to it here.
“Just hoe your own row and raise your own babies
Smoke your own smoke and grow your own daisies
Mend your own fences and own your own crazy
Mind your own biscuits and life will be gravy”

I totally want to yell this to people all the time.
{four} I have a love hate relationship with Nordstrom right now. I love them because, hello, they are awesome, but I hate them because I want to buy ALL THE THINGS. I’m in love with this shirt. I need it, don’t you think? Even though I’m pregnant and it won’t fit right now. And I’m not really a camper. Still. It’s cute and it’s calling my name!

{five} Need some cute kid’s party ideas and themes? Check out Party Opedia. They have theme party supply packages from cute and fun tableware and plasticware, to the details of the decorations, invitations and favors. Hudson would love this one.

And now the link ups….

Balance bikes are so awesome. I love that kids are able to feel balance before they try riding instead of just using training wheels. smart move mama.

That refrain is peaches, a few people need to pay attention to it, especially in blog world ;)!

    Happy Friday!

That shirt is amazing! The love for Nordstrom is strong here too! I mean, the free shipping alone! Is too early to be getting excited for the anniversary sale.. in July?!

I do follow you on IG but I missed the bike drama! We got Cam a balance bike, and he keeps asking for pedals – he's so confused! Ha! Nordstrom is double trouble…I love/hate when I get ebates emails about extra money back. Like I need another reason to visit their site!

Hudson is a smart guy! And he's knows the "safety first" rule, which I adore! Owen has 2 bikes too and only rides the balance bike. In our defense, the trike was too small when my MIL gave it to him, so he's never been comfortable on it. Have a lovely weekend!

Ooh I love a good graphic T! That shirt is so cute! And we loved using balance bikes with both of our boys — total game changers. Our oldest was riding a regular bike with no training wheels by age four, and our youngest by age THREE. Nutso. I give all the glory to the balance bike. 🙂

Haha! I refuse to even look at clothes at this point. It's depressing if it's maternity and it's depressing if I even think I'm going to be close to wearing cute summer clothes this year. Maybe I should look at cute tshirts instead :p

Oh how fun Hudson loved the car wash – Callie thinks it's loud and covers hear ears the whole time… then asks to do it again lol! We got Callie a bike with training wheels for her bday and I hope it's the right choose… I guess we'll find out soon enough!

Oh Hey Friday!

Hey hey Friday! Nice to see you again….
{one} Hello three day weekend! I took today off of work and it’s basically the best thing ever. Hudson and I have big plans…plans to watch Toy Story and stay in our jammies all day. Heaven, I tell ya.
{two} Speaking of jammies….I wish I looked this cute in mine. Trying to teach Hudson to say “trick or treat” has turned out to be pretty hilarious. Our neighbors are going to wonder what on earth I’m saying around my child.
{three} Also, have you seen Toy Story of Terror? Because it’s kinda scary. But Hudson loves it of course. I guess I’m just a wimp.
{four} Any type of facebook post about being a boy mom totally sucks me in….I’ve been obsessed with reading all of the “how to be the kind of mom your teenage boy needs” and “10 signs your a boy mom”….anyway, I stumbled upon The MOB Society (mom of boys) and I can’t get enough. It’s a great resource for boy moms!

{five} Just a reminder that I am co-hosting a Halloween Costume Party link up and would LOVE for you to join me! Share some photos of your little one all dressed up for Halloween. I seriously can’t wait! The party starts October 30th. More details about the link up can be found here.

Happy Friday! And now I’m linking up with basically everyone….
