Now that I’m a mom…..

Now that I’m a mom…..
I HATE time changes. They are the worst.
My days are filled with way more laughter than ever before.
I have either food, dried snot, or a sticker on my clothing at all times. The same can be said for my child.
I can recite ALL THE BOOKS from memory.
I don’t sleep. Ever.
There are foot prints on my coffee table, crayon on my couch, and peanut butter on my cabinets.
I can make a meal out of cheese, smooshed blackberries, applesauce, and graham crackers.
I can do my makeup and hair in under 20 minutes.
I have a granola bar, applesauce, crayons, wipes, and a toy car in my purse at all times.
My patience has increased by at least 100%.
But I love it. Every minute, even the hard ones. I’ve never been so tired…yet I wake up missing my boy. My house has never been so full of laughter…or so messy yet beautiful at the same time. The same can be said about me.
This mom job…it’s the best.

yes yes yes!! Luckily for me, Turner was not even affected by the time change yesterday. Yes, he slept in (since the time did change) but he still went to bed @ the same time last night. I got so lucky!!!

You are too right! I love being a mom. I miss my daughter when I go to bed because she is in her crib in her room. Sometimes it's more than I can handle so I go grab her and bring her into be with us so I can cuddle her and have her close!!

It really is true when they say the days are long It really is true when they say the days are long but the years are short. One day I’m struggling to carry two babies at a time while wrangling a toddler and then next minute they are all off to school and practices and friends’ houses. With all three kids in school we’ve been thinking a lot about their futures and how we are going to one day pay for college. We set up a Michigan Education Trust 529 plan for each of our kids when they were babies and I am SO happy we did! With a MET account, we can pay for future college tuition at today’s prices. With MET’s discounted age-based pricing the earlier you start, the more you are able to save! Plus grandparents and other loved ones can contribute to my kids’ accounts too! With MET you get back what you put in if your child chooses a different path and the money goes with you if your child goes to school out of state. You can even transfer it to immediate family members and all contributions to MET plans are tax deductible! To learn more about how to set up a MET account and the benefits of starting your child’s account early, check out my stories or the link in my bio. @mieducationtrust #sponsored #SETwithMET #MI529 #collegesavings #METSept2023
