Nordstrom Sale Finds

I hope you’re not sick of hearing about the Nordstrom sale! It seems like the blog world is obsessed….and I am no exception. I placed 4 orders in less than two weeks! Thank goodness for free shipping and free returns! I became and Nordstrom card holder last year in anticipation of this sale, because cardholders get early access…and it was one of my best (or maybe worst?) decisions ever. The sale runs right during my birthday, so it’s the perfect excuse to get my shop on. Here are a few things I bought and LOVED…and a few things I didn’t care for.

First up is the BP “Trott” Bootie. This bootie was SO cute in person…but I realized it’s really similar to another pair of BP booties I bought last year…..so they were sent back. They run small in my opinion, so be sure to size up a half size.
Now that I’m in my thirties am I too old to wear distressed jeans? I sure hope not! I took a chance on these Vigoss “Tomboy” Distressed Skinny Jeans and oh my word…I’m OBSESSED! They are the softest, most comfy skinny jeans ever. They have the perfect amount of stretch and distressing. Love love love. A word to the wise: they run big, so size down.
If you’ve been reading my blog for a while now you know I love me some Kendra Scott. I picked up this necklace in the iridescent color and it’s so pretty in person. LOVE it!
I also picked up this tunic and love it! It’s perfect for fall and the green color is totally my jam.
I caved finally picked up the “Blardigan” aka the Barefoot Dreams Drape Front Cardigan and it is worth every penny! Totally lives up to the hype and is the softest, most comfy sweater ever. It’s thick, so it’s perfect for cuddling up on the couch on a cold Michigan winter day. Love it so much. I got it in grey (sold out) but the other colors are pretty too!
I also picked up these much loved Kate Spade glitter studs…and the jury’s still out on them. I love them in theory, but am wondering if I’ll really wear them. I bought the multi colored pair (pictured) and the gold pair and the gold pair is going back for sure. They were really yellow and not cute in person…but I’m still torn on the multi colored. These bad boys sell out quick, so they might not be available…but it does look like there is an aqua color and a pink still in stock!
After my first bootie fail, I went back and ordered these Sam Edelman “Paige” Fringed Booties and I they are super cute in person…but I’m still torn about them. I’m not sure the heel height is flattering on me.
Up next is this cardigan. Love love love it. Wish I bought it in every color!
I also bought this sweater…it was so cute in the photo but disappointing in person. I’m sending it back. It basically was just a big sack on me and not flattering at all.
I ordered another pair of the most amazing leggings ever….Zella “Live In” Leggings. They are hands down the best and I love it when they are on sale! They are the perfect amount of thickness and hold you in in all the right places!
I’ve always wanted a nice North Face jacket so when I saw this gold one in the sale I jumped on it! It’s perfect for cold Michigan winters. This bad boy hasn’t arrived yet so fingers crossed I love it!
This tunic hasn’t arrived yet either but I’ll let you know if it’s a keeper! I also ordered these shoes one size up for Hudson for next year. I’ll have to hide them when they arrive because my boy is obsessed with shoes and will want to wear them right away!

The sale runs until August 2nd and after that the prices go back up…so get on it! Have you shopped the sale? What did you buy?

I'm feeling a bit torn about the multi glitter earrings as well…I scored a pair before they sold out and figured I could decide once they arrive. I'm worried that they might be a trendy thing that will look dated next year so the wear time won't be long on them. Then again, for the price, they'd be a good gift option or just something to keep and wear now and then for a fun little pop of color(s).

Pondering the tunic in black – again, for the price, can you go wrong? And I bought last years version of that last tunic you shared, and LOVE it. I got it in ivory and have worn it a ton! It's also held up really well so that's a good thing!:) Loving your picks!

Wow, lady, you cleaned up at the sale. I might have to snap up that tunic it looks super cute. I bought the KS earrings and will probably wear them a lot because I love a pop of color even if it isn't 'in style'. I also bought a pink Kendra Scott necklace and I can't wait to see it!

I have been debating those fringe booties as well. I adore the last tunic and the cardigan's as well. I might take the plunge on a couple of those things. Love to see you in those booties! I am super tall so I rarely buy anything with a heel on it.

Love all your stuff! I have had the Zella leggings in my cart for the past two weeks. Ha. Dumb question – do you wear them with tunics and stuff or just to work out? I want them but don't want them only to work out and not sure if they are in fact JUST for exercise. šŸ™‚

This post totally cracks me up. We are in "money saving" mode so I've been delaying my order and hoping some things sell out – but I have so many of the same items as you. The BP booties, the lace tunic, and the leggings. Now to just hope it gets delivered when my husband isn't home…

#ad It’s that time of year! Time to make sure yo #ad It’s that time of year! Time to make sure your child is up to date on their well-child visits and vaccines! As the chief advocate for my kids, I always want to make decisions that are the best for them and for our family. There isn’t anything I wouldn’t do for these little loves of mine, and I know all of you can relate! That is why I vaccinate my kids. Vaccinating your child is one of the safest and most effective things you can do to protect them against serious preventable diseases. If you live in Michigan like we do, it’s time to schedule that well-child visit and make sure your kids are up to date on their vaccinations! I’ve done a lot of research and talked to our pediatrician at length about what is best for my family and I would encourage you to do so too. It’s normal to have questions—it makes you a good parent! But make sure you are getting answers from credible sources. Remember, vaccines are safe, effective, and help protect everyone. Ultimately I decided to vaccinate my children because not doing so puts them at risk of contracting a potentially deadly disease. I want the best for my kids.
