Hearing all of your boy names last week was SO much fun! We still haven’t decided on a boy name yet, but added a few more to our list, thanks to you guys! So today….let’s talk girls!
When I was pregnant with Hudson we knew we were having a boy, so we didn’t talk about girl names too much. I can’t even remember what names we liked in the beginning, but we did pick a middle name which we love and is a family name too…..I’ll tell you the name when and if we have a baby girl (sorry!).
We would be thrilled to add a little girl to our family….but we would be just as thrilled to add a baby boy. Some of you have asked if I have a feeling as to which gender our sweet babe is…and honestly, I don’t. I was strongly on team boy at the beginning, then switched to team girl….and then I got back on team boy. But as of right now, I really have no clue! This pregnancy has been so different from my first, that it makes me think we might be having a girl….but at the same time, all of that could just be in my head and be because I’m busy chasing a toddler this time around. Heartbeat patterns, my recent symptoms, cravings, and “activity” seem to flip flop around too. So basically I’ve got nothing.
SO, help us out with a name! What are your favorite girl names that go with Hudson?
I can’t wait to read them!
There are SO MANY great girl names. I find it hard to pick baby names for myself because I work with so many kids (and have worked with so many) that it's hard to find one that I don't have an association with (good or bad). I love unique girl names that can be boy names like Harper and Riley. I know some really cute girls at work that have a "unisex" name 🙂
I love that you aren't finding out the gender, that's what we plan to do!!!!
Classic girl names are my favorite.
We named our little girl Teagan and love it! Our son is 2.5 and nicknamed her "TT" but she also goes by Teags. I love that it's unique and rare.
Reagan, Alexa, Elliott, Sloan, Quinn, Georgia, Charlotte, Harper, Kennedy, Addison, Campbell
I thought Regan would be cute as a boy name, but Reagan is perfect for a girl too! I second this!
Haha. Having TWO baby girls myself it was so hard to name them. Literally we were down to the wire naming them. However I like unique unisex names. My husband likes unique but more classic sounding made for a hard naming combination. Personally I love the names Greer, Sailor, and Harbor. Cannot wait to see the baby and find out girl or boy and the NAME. So much anticipation, come on JUNE:)
My best friend has a little boy named Harber! 🙂
Hadley would be precious with Hudson.
Olivia is a cute name xo
I like Hadley and also Bailey :).
so fun!! My all time favorite girls names are Serena & Noelle. So classic! I also really love Raegan, Kennedy, and Aubrey but not sure I would actually choose them since they're pretty trendy at the moment! 🙂
I like Elaine, Eliza, Joy, and Talia!
I want to know if anyone else will give me any other unique names that I could use for my baby too!!
our #1 name, from my last pregnancy is Hadley, which I think would be adorable with Hudson!
others on my list are: Emery, Everly, Gemma, Grier/Greer, Lainey and Sloane
Yay! I've been waiting for this after last week 🙂
Charlotte, Ryan, Emerson (Emmy), Elizabeth (Ellie), Landon, Greer, Sloane, Cameran, Caroline, Rowan, Nora, Blaire, Maren
Go with another H like Harper 🙂
I'm not sure that they go with Hudson but these are the girl names I love: Olivia, Madison, Audrey, Joy, Harper, & Bethany.
Love these posts! My first name is Ryan, which I always hated growing up, but now I actually really like it. And it's definitely unique. 🙂 My daughter's name is Grace (we mostly call her Gracie). When we were deciding, I also loved the names Scarlett, Caroline, Leighton, Lennon, London, Emerson, and Charlotte. Good luck picking!
Oh how fun! Baby girl names are the best. My favorites are:
Lillea or Lillian
Leda
Ashton
Alexa (could be lex or lexi too!)
Olivia
Taryn
Emma
I also LOVE my name: Katrina. It has so many great nicknames! I am mainly called Katrina or Trina but get the occasional Kate and Kat in there too.
Good luck!
My daughter is Elodie. She was almost Avery, Leighton, or Audrey before we decided on Elodie. If my son had of been a girl he would have been Hattie. If we have a third and it is a girl, I like: Etta, Sawyer, Jolie, Sutton, Emmeline, Tori, Ausha, Sorren (or Wren), Mila, Nori, Olive, Gemma, Luca, Remi, or Haven.
I love Julia, Olivia, Claire, Sadie, Erica, Hannah, Noelle, and Reagan
So, we had a few girl names on our short list – aside from Vivian, obviously:) These included: Olivia (which seems to be very popular right now), Hazel, Charlotte (love the nicknames Charlie or Lottie), and Eleanor (which we really loved, but we were afraid people would call her Ellie, which is our dog's name! I know whatever you guys pick will be adorable, whether it's a boy or girl!:)
I immediately thought of Hadley when I thought of a girl name paired with Hudson. Ahhh I cannot wait to hear what you pick!
Our little girl is Halston – named after my grandmother, in a roundabout way. Ironically, my husband just said the other day that if we have a boy in the future that we should name him Hudson. 😉 Good luck choosing a name — so hard!
My baby sister is named Halston — love the name so much!
how fun! They are few and far between, aren't they?!
Harper would be so cute with Hudson. I know you're not a fan of the double H though. My daughters are Karsyn and Micah. I also like … Elliott, Hadley, Sutton, Sloane
My favorite names when I was pregnant with Stella were Emma, Elizabeth, and Claire…and obviously Stella. 😉
I really love old fashioned names for girls, and gender neutral names. I love Sloane, Mila, Elanore (Ellie), Eleni (like melanie), Eva, Riley and Andi
Ava, Avery, Kourtlyn, Skylar
Haegan is ny neices name. Its unique and would go with Hudson. I also like Remi, Laken, Brielle.
Julianne, Amelia, Piper, Kate, and Jemma were our top picks.
A family name you love….must be Mabel!!!
I LOVE names! I always love the stories behind them and meaning and all that other fun stuff that goes with names! I love Violet, Cadence, Britton and Karis!
This is so fun! Adelaide, Lydia, Hattie, Cadence, and Kinsley.
If we are blessed with a third baby and it happens to be a girl, her name will be Halle. We have two boys named Hudson and Holden. Hudson took almost 2 years to conceive and surgery for my husband, while Holden was an IVF baby. I have twin nephew and niece named Harrison and Harper. They are 10 weeks younger than my Hudson. I also like Harlow, Hadley, Henley. . . .never thought I would name my children with the same letter, but Hudson and Holden are the names were fell in love with. If we have a third, we have to use an H again now. Good luck!
Callie
We have never been too big on girls names but these are a few of my favourites:
Sophie
Nikki
Jade
Ellie
Chloe
Taylor
Millie
Molly
Lulu
x
Love Hadley with Hudson!
I am a fan of old fashioned names…like Lillian, Meredith, Catherine, Carolyn…etc.
Lilly Rose
Allie Kat-Greyson
These were our girl names, we ended up with boys
Here are some of the names I liked when naming my daughter: Savannah, Ellie, Sophia, Shay, Sawyer, Presley, Abigail, Reese, Hadley, Haven, Quinn, and Harper. We ended up naming our daughter Harper Amelia. Hope these help!
Hi Julie, I tried to come up with a portmanteau of your name and your husband's name. Jolie for a baby girl and Juon for a baby boy 🙂
McKenna or Tenley,
McKenna or Tenley,
McKenna or Tenley,
I've been saving this post in my reader because I really wanted to snoop on all these gorgeous baby names! I am definitely in the minority here – but I am not a fan of siblings having the same first letter. I nannied for an Alex and Adam and it was INFURIATING when they were misbehaving to shout out the wrong name. And they were rotten and I was always screaming at someone. Therefore, I like names that are just plain different.
On another note, I really want to post my girl name but I haven't used it yet and I'm REALLY attached so I'm afraid to post it. I might be weirdly too attached. And I'm sure this will make sure the universe gives me a house full of boys.
