Mom Hack: Let Someone Else Do Your Shopping

 photo IMG_8234.jpg

It’s officially happened. Right when we were blessed with baby #3, baby #2 – my easy, go with the flow baby entered the “terrible twos” a few months early. That girl right there screamed “CUDDLE MAMA!” all through the grocery store the other day until I agreed to carry her. Let me tell you something: carrying around an almost two year old while pushing a cart with a baby in it and ALL YOUR GROCERIES is quite the workout. I was sweating bullets by the time I got to check out. No amount of bribery will keep that girl still. So Sadie is officially off of shopping duty. Which means it’s now ten times harder for me to run any type of errand.

Which brings me to my most favorite mom hack yet: let someone else do your shopping. We’ve used Sam’s Club Pickup service a few times now and it is a total game changer. Order your items online, select a pick up time, let someone else shop for you, and then pick them up. Yay!

With Pickup you can pay online and bypass the line. Your order is ready when you get there! You can seriously order all of your necessities – from grocers and household essentials to office supplies – everything is just one click away. We used next day pick up and it was great! Select Sam’s Club locations offer same day delivery too.

Can I just order everything online? Because it sure makes my life a thousand percent easier. Here are some of our weekly staples: two types of milk, juice, and frozen strawberries. Everything else I blame on being hungry when I ordered!

Since I didn’t have to spend an hour dragging my kids through the store, we decided to use that time to explore outside instead. And everyone was much happier!

These two give me a run for my money.

Brilliant!! I often do an online grocery shop order on a Sunday evening for delivery on Monday morning – saves so much time and effort with the kiddos x

#ad It’s that time of year! Time to make sure yo #ad It’s that time of year! Time to make sure your child is up to date on their well-child visits and vaccines! As the chief advocate for my kids, I always want to make decisions that are the best for them and for our family. There isn’t anything I wouldn’t do for these little loves of mine, and I know all of you can relate! That is why I vaccinate my kids. Vaccinating your child is one of the safest and most effective things you can do to protect them against serious preventable diseases. If you live in Michigan like we do, it’s time to schedule that well-child visit and make sure your kids are up to date on their vaccinations! I’ve done a lot of research and talked to our pediatrician at length about what is best for my family and I would encourage you to do so too. It’s normal to have questions—it makes you a good parent! But make sure you are getting answers from credible sources. Remember, vaccines are safe, effective, and help protect everyone. Ultimately I decided to vaccinate my children because not doing so puts them at risk of contracting a potentially deadly disease. I want the best for my kids. If you have questions or need a reliable resource, check out @IVaccinateMI for information and tools based on real medical science and research to help Michigan parents protect their kids from vaccine-preventable diseases.
