Mini Adventures with Just ONE Kid!

Thank you Maxi-Cosi for sponsoring this post. Keep your little adventurers comfy, safe & stylish with the Maxi-Cosi Magellan™ Max 5-in-1 Convertible Car Seat!

Now that Hudson is in kindergarten and Sadie is in pre-school (eeek!!!!) I’ve really been enjoying some one-on-one time with my littlest love. And Belle has been loving it too! Although she does ask “where’s Hudsey? Where’s sissy?” over and over while they’re gone. She loves her brother and sister something fierce.

After we walk Hudson to the bus stop, we drop Sadie off at pre-school and then head out on an adventure, just the two of us. Typically, I try and keep our errands to one or two stops and thankfully Belle doesn’t seem to mind. Last year when I felt like I was drowning trying to manage three kids at home with me and working from home, I tried to picture what this day would look like. A day where two kids were in school and I got to spend my mornings with just my baby girl. And now that that day is here, it is everything I could ever have hoped for. I love spending one-on-one time with each of my kids and really cherish this time I have alone with Belle. I know in two years it will be her who I drop off at pre-school…and Sadie will be in Kindergarten and Hudson in 2nd grade. And I’ll be sad. Happy, too, but sad. I know I’ll blink and that day will be here, so I’m soaking up the mornings with my girl as much as I can!

Belle has become my little errand buddy and it is simply the best! I’ve forgotten how much easier it is to take just one kid out on errands with me instead of all three! My happy little traveler doesn’t complain or whine either, so there’s that!

We recently upgraded Belle’s car seat to the Maxi-Cosi Magellan™ Max 5-in-1 Convertible Car Seat…and let me tell you, I LOVE this seat! It is an innovative new 5-in-1 convertible car seat that accommodates children from birth to age 10 (5lbs. to 120lbs.). With three kids, I’ve tested out my fair share of car seats, but this one is my new favorite. Belle currently sits in a Maxi-Cosi car seat in my husband’s truck, so it’s a brand I’ve known and loved for a while now. But my hands down favorite feature of the Magellan™ Max 5-in-1 Convertible Car Seat is the EZ Out harness system that keeps straps and the crotch buckle from getting caught and bunched under your child. This feature alone makes the car seat unlike any other we’ve tried. I absolutely hate it when you put your child in their seat and then have to dig under them to find the straps. On this seat, the straps and crotch buckle stay up on their own, so you can just slip your child into them.

My second favorite feature is the ClipQuik. All the praise hands to this feature! I can open the chest clip quickly with just one hand—making it easy for me to get Belle in and out, which is essential when you are trying to keep your eye on two other kids! Plus, the feature that makes it easy for me to open makes it harder for kids to unbuckle. YES!

The Magellan™ Max 5-in-1 Convertible Car Seat easily transitions between five modes of use: Baby Rear-Facing, Toddler Rear-Facing, Toddler Forward-Facing, Child Forward-Facing and Belt Positioning Booster….so it’s the only seat Belle will ever need. Maxi-Cosi’s patented Adjustable Side Impact Protection creates a customized fit for all growth stages and ensures maximum protection in the proper position.

The Maxi-Cosi Magellan™ Max 5-in-1 Convertible Car Seat retails for $399.99 and can be found at Albee Baby, Nordstrom, Buy Buy Baby, and other specialty retailers.

What a gorgeous girlie! I’m so glad you’re enjoying your time together! This car seat looks really good. I hate when the buckles get stuck underneath. It’s hard for me as I’m 8 months pregnant and getting my 2 year old in and out is a real hassle.

What a beautiful ginger! I have two nieces that are gingers, and I love their spunkiness! They are now grown with their gingers. The car seat looks comfy and safe,

Oh my goodness – what a cutie pie! I’m so glad you get some one on one time with your youngest, it’s true, the days are fleeting! I’m also super interested in the Maxi-Cosi 5-in-1 Now that I have a newborn and have to start looking for a new seat soon!
