Love Bug Valentines

I kind of waited until the last minute to put together Hudson’s valentines. His school asked that we not bring in candy, so I had to find something that was cute, creative, and most of all….easy. Thank goodness for Pinterest and these adorable love bug valentines. I had them printed on card stock and then swung by the $1 store to find some bugs. Easiest project ever.

Except my little “helper” wanted to, you know, help. So that slowed me a down a bit. But still, they turned out so cute and Hudson is so excited about this BUGS!
I just used cute washi tape to stick the bugs on each little jar.
We only had to make 12, so with printing and bugs this cost me a whopping $5…and we could have made 8 more without spending more, since we had leftover bugs and jars. Unfortunately, most of the leftover bugs were cockroaches, which my husband made me throw away after Hudson went to bed. They totally freaked both of us out!
Have your little ones made their valentines yet?

Haha, nobody wants the cockroaches, lol! Those are TOO cute, Julie! I went the easy route this year, and just taped little hearts onto little fruit snacks bags with a cute note on them. Maybe next year I'll get a bit more creative:)

It really is true when they say the days are long It really is true when they say the days are long but the years are short. One day I’m struggling to carry two babies at a time while wrangling a toddler and then next minute they are all off to school and practices and friends’ houses. With all three kids in school we’ve been thinking a lot about their futures and how we are going to one day pay for college. We set up a Michigan Education Trust 529 plan for each of our kids when they were babies and I am SO happy we did! With a MET account, we can pay for future college tuition at today’s prices. With MET’s discounted age-based pricing the earlier you start, the more you are able to save! Plus grandparents and other loved ones can contribute to my kids’ accounts too! With MET you get back what you put in if your child chooses a different path and the money goes with you if your child goes to school out of state. You can even transfer it to immediate family members and all contributions to MET plans are tax deductible! To learn more about how to set up a MET account and the benefits of starting your child’s account early, check out my stories or the link in my bio. @mieducationtrust #sponsored #SETwithMET #MI529 #collegesavings #METSept2023
