Kid Tested, Mom Approved: Go-To Gear

Welcome to the LAST day of the Kid Tested, Mom Appoved link up party! I hope you’ve enjoyed this series as much as we have! Today the beautiful Vanessa from Sunflower State of Mind is our host and we are sharing our go-to gear! You know the drill: Grab the link in the box below and add it to your post (please!) and then link up at the bottom.

HOVER TEXT

I shared my breastfeeding essentials here and my big purchases here….but today I want to share a new item that we are currently loving in our house: Magnetic Cabinet Locks. Total game changer and life saver if you have a busy baby, like I do.
We have the Safety 1st Magnetic Locking System and are thrilled with how easy they are to use!

If you buy these, do yourself a favor and toss the instructions. They are terrible. We used this youtube video and it was 10 times easier to understand what to do after watching it.

Once the locks are installed you can lock or unlock them with the green lock button above.

When in the locked position you have to hold this magnetic key up to the cabinet to open them.

This little monster can’t get in to the cabinets now!

Once he’s in bed we can switch the lock button over to unlock…and that way you don’t have to use the key. Genius!

The hardest part is remembering to keep the key in the same spot so it doesn’t get lost. I highly recommend buying an extra key, just in case!

Link up your go-to gear below!

Love magnetic child locks!!! Funny thing is we had them before Callie to keep the cats out of a few places! But we have way more now! haha! Loved the link up thanks for hosting! 🙂

We have those locks too! I'm in love with them though my husband seems to have a problem remembering where they are located to unlock them with the key and it's hilarious watching him try to open the cabinets!

These are great – way better than the typical locks! Looks like I'll be investing in a set too!

We have these too! But they never made it out of their package… We're really bad in the baby proofing department!

We have the same ones! Haven't installed them yet….husbands fault!

I've heard these are great!! We've been pretty lucky with Cam; he opens a cabinet, but closes it when we say his name…he knows he's not supposed to be in there! I'm sure we will be investing in these soon, though…he is only going to get more curious!

Did you use these on drawers too? I almost purchased these awhile ago…then I realized most of our lower cabinets don't have much in them, it's just mainly drawers!

I have never seen these, but I think we will have to pick some up this weekend.

We really should do this…we're using hair ties right now which aren't really that effective!

Those are awesome locks! We have the standard clip ones right now and my daughter has already figured out how to take them down. We might have to get these instead.

How cool! I've never seen these. We have the old latch kind and they drive me bananas. And Owen has figured out how to open the one to the cabinet where I keep my baking supplies.

We have these and love them. We keep the key on our fridge at ALL times. Except last week when I left it inside the cabinet and had to run to Babies'R'Us and buy a spare!

We have these too–the best!!! It has taken some getting used to on my part, but Arden doesn't even try to open them anymore, which is awesome!

This is amazing! I don't have kids but I do have a cat who loves to open cabinets and hide in them. The only time I know it's happening is when I go to grab a pot and I have to wash it again because there's cat hair in it. This is much better than the whole 'tape it when we're asleep/at work.' Thank you!

I love this idea. I wish I had thought of it. We have these but are still in the process of putting them on the cabinets. Aria isn't really getting into them yet, but I bet they will be worth every penny in a month or two.

We are just starting to baby proof, my little one is about to be 7 months old and is officially on the move! It is so overwhelming, but I love the idea of these magnet locks!
