It’s Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas

I love decorating our house for Christmas. We start the day after Thanksgiving and it always puts me in the holiday spirit! Now if only it would motivate me to finish my Christmas shopping then we’d be in business.

Photobucket
Today I’m linking up with A Thoughtful Place to share my holiday vignettes! The cake plates, platter, and scale are always there…I just added some holiday cheer.

Photobucket
This is on display on the bookcase in our dining room. I just love these mercury glass Christmas trees that I got a few years ago at an after Christmas sale. I never pay full price for Christmas decor. My secret to building up a good supply of decorations: Target on December 26th. Everything is 50% off….make sure you go early to beat the rush. My mom and I go every year and it is always tons of fun!

Photobucket
This second display is in our living room. I swapped out all of our regular photos with the Christmas cards we’ve used each year since we’ve been married.

Photobucket
Sneak peak of our card for this year. LOVE it.

Photobucket
2008 card on the bottom left, 2009 in the middle, and last year on the right. I love adding to this collection. And see that reindeer on the bottom? I’ve had her since I was little….Wrigley thinks she’s his toy so she’ll probably be relocated somewhere out of his reach!
Thanks for stopping by! Make sure to check out all of the other Christmas vignettes!

Ok this is my 3rd time posting this comment (apparently I can't remember my password lol)

Anywho-your house…SIGH. Looks like FREAKING Pottery Barn and I adore it! How are you SO cute and creative all the time?! Something tells me Pinterest has a little something to do with this…no?

ALso-your framed cards from previous years is THE best idea everrr!! I have to start doing this ASAP! Do y'all do a photoshoot every year right before the holidays? I might have to steal this idea too. (Beau is going to hate me but eh-oh well!)

I have an idea. How 'bout you move to Texas so we can be BFFs already? Pretty sure our husbands would get along just great! (I mean, your husband looks like a nice guy and all…) Wrigley would fit right in and Beau could even take him hunting! Bonus: you could decorate my house from top to bottom…deal?! (Do you like how I just made all this up?)

    Anywho-stop being so cute. Ok-don't.

Hope your day is as beautiful as your hair! (Yes-I really said that…) 😉 xoxo

It’s Beginning to Look a lot Like Chirstmas

It sure is starting to look like Christmas over at our house, and I love it! I can’t believe it is already December. It is now our tradition to put up our Christmas tree the weekend after Thanksgiving. I totally forgot to bring my camera along….which is a huge bummer because there were reindeer at the Christmas tree place! I’ve never seen a reindeer before, but they were really cute! I was so sad that I forgot my camera. Anyway, here is our tree! Do you see what is hiding under it?

We are really happy with how the tree turned out. The only problem is that Wrigley won’t leave it alone…..so right after I took this picture we put a baby gate up around it.

Pancake loves to hide under the Christmas tree. And he loves the fact that Wrigley can’t get him there.

We kept Wrigley entertained with some Christmas lights.
