As you may recall, Hudson got this adorable kitchen from Santa for Christmas. He LOVES it! I know a play kitchen isn’t the usual present for a little boy, but Hudson loves playing in our kitchen and gets a kick out of spatulas and bowls….so I knew he would love his present.
We scored this kitchen for FREE several months ago….as soon as I spotted it I knew it had the potential to be really cute….all it needed was a little makeover!

I LOVE how it turned out! It will need a few touch ups when it’s warmer outside, but for now, it totally works.
There were lots of painted on buttons and numbers for the microwave and stove on the original kitchen. I was going to try and paint them back on but decided I kind of like the simpler version better. Also, instead of painting on the burners for the stove I just picked up some round pieces of wood at Joann’s Fabric, spray painted them silver, and had my husband glue them on.
Of course we needed lots of fun play food to go with the fabulous kitchen! I might have gone a little overboard…..we picked up these Melissa and Doug wooden condiment set that has quickly become a favorite of both me and Hudson. The lids are magnetic and the whole set is just too cute for words. It’s also solved the problem of Hudson always wanting to play with our real ketchup bottle!

Oh my gosh that is the most awesome little man's kitchen ever!!! I need to send you a little boy's apron!!
Will email you! xx

Awesome job on the kitchen re-do! It looks PERFECT for Hudson now!! And I'm glad you scored that Costco play set! Although I have to admit some of the food is SO random… But that hasn't stopped lex from loving it too!
Very nice kitchen makeover…and Hudson has PJs to match. Chef Hudson…creating and serving only the finest cuisine! (Ketchup goes good with everything!)
My cousin & I had a McDonald's play set & we played with it for years! I don't think there's anything wrong with a kitchen for a boy either! Great score & make-over!! I think it's all so cute & the perfect Christmas gift!!
Oh my gosh, you did such a great job!!! Love it!!!
You did such a good job. You would have thought you bought it that way!
I love his kitchen!! We also got our son a kitchen for Christmas and he loves it!!! Especially "baking" cookies ha!
love this!!!
The absolute cutest!!! I really want to get Kenley a kitchen soon and this makes me want to customize something for her!
Adorable – what a great makeover. The best part is that you didn't have to assemble it yourself. My sister spend over four hours assembling the kitchen we got B for Christmas. NIGHTMARE. I bet Hudson will enjoy this for years to come!
Fantastic job on the kitchen remodel! I love the colors you picked and the way you made it seem like a real deal kitchen for him! And the chalkboard paint on the back splash and fridge are a perfect addition!!
You did great! Carter got a kitchen for Christmas too, but it's nowhere near as cool as one with chalkboard paint! 🙂 Love all of your food accessories…I may have to pick some up for our little man. I wanted to be sure he was going to play with his kitchen before I splurged on all kinds of extras.
So so darling!! I knew Ethan would love a kitchen set too…I mean, he already loves sweeping and vacuuming, may as well go with it! Love all the mini food too!
Too cute!! You did such a good job! Cam LOVES to be in the kitchen with us (Chad is a cook, so I guess it's in his genes!), so a kitchen has been on MY wishlist for quite some time. I am thinking it will make a nice "house warming" gift once we move this summer! Great job, Momma!
This is awesome! You did a great job. I am thinking next year is the year of the play kitchen for Aria, I bet she'll love it as much as Hudson! So fun.
This is amazing! I love it. You guys did such a good job remodeling it:)
So fun! I can't believe you remodeled it, it looks amazing!
You did an AWESOME job! It doesn't even look like the same little kitchen after the re-do! In fact, the colors and style really remind me of the much pricier Pottery Barn kitchens for kids:) I love the simple silver accents. LOVE the chalkboard walls. Great, great, great! Hudson will play with it for years:)
It turned out awesome!!! I love all the details and all the fun toys you've added to the kitchen as well. Hudson is a lucky little boy to have such a stylish kitchen!!!
This is adorable! I love the chalkboard detail!!
Awesome job!!! Such a neat idea 🙂
OK. This is ADORABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You did an amazing job! I am going to have to get that food for Avery for Easter!
It turned out so cute! He is going to have many hours of fun with this.
This is great! What a creative way to make it his own. Of course he is a boy….so a dump truck in the kitchen is a must. He might grow up to be a chef!
It's perfect!!!! You did such a good job, mama! Arden still isn't in love with her kitchen yet, but all of her boy friends are obsessed!!! Maybe I should've gotten her a tool bench?! 😉
You did an amazing job! I love it! And what a steak too. Hudson is a lucky boy!
