Maternity clothes? I’m still mixing and matching maternity and my old stuff. For now a maternity tank under a regular shirt or sweater seems to work just fine!
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: I’ve been hit with pregnancy insomnia lately. I wake up around 3ish and it takes me over an hour to go back to sleep. So when that 5:45 alarm goes off I’m soooo tired!
Best moment this week: Lots and lots of kicks and seeing a healthy baby on the ultrasound. And we held strong and didn’t find out the gender! I can’t believe we did it! Really, my husband was much stronger than me and without him I totally would have caved. I do have to go back for another ultrasound at 28 weeks because baby wasn’t cooperating and they didn’t get to see everything they needed. So I have to stay strong again!
Miss Anything? Just sleeping and feeling cute.
Movement: Yep, lots of movement up in here! My whole belly shakes and it’s pretty funny. It’s also really hard to hold a toddler on your lap when you are also getting kicked from the inside.
Food cravings: Nothing new…I will do anything for lemon meringue pie.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Just car rides! And if I eat too much.
Gender: Not even the ultrasound tech knows….only God! We’ll find out in June!
Labor Signs: None.
Symptoms: Minor back pain and tired all the time. No big deal.
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Mood: Great! My bff Erin is having her baby girl today! I’m soooo excited! And remember two weeks ago when I asked for prayers for my roommate from college? Well, she had her baby girl, Ana, at 24 weeks, and although they have a long NICU stay ahead of them, Ana is doing really well. Thank you for all of your prayers…keep them coming!
Looking forward to: Figuring out what we are doing with the baby’s room. We spent the weekend cleaning out his/her closet and just need to take down the full size bed that’s in the room and then we’ll have a clean slate! Trying to decide on paint colors when you don’t know the gender is hard! And no, I’m not doing green and yellow. I’m leaning towards a light grey (surprise) and my husband is leaning towards navy blue. We shall see who wins that one.
View me at 22 weeks with Hudson here.
You look fabulous AND cute, lady! Such a sweet bump!
I hope the insomnia goes away, I know I'm a wreck when I don't get enough sleep. I can't IMAGINE what it's like carrying a human and dealing with hormones while exhausted!
Prayers for your dear friend and her sweet babe!
The insomnia is the worst – I have it, too! Then tired all day! And I don't know why you miss looking cute – you look ADORABLE!!!!!!!!! 🙂
You look great! I never ever thought I would have baby fever, but I think it has hit me! lol! Maybe some day I can get my husband on board for a second 🙂
You look great! I couldn't wait to find out! lol! You are brave!
Love seeing that cute little belly!
You look amazing!! My 22 weeks is on Friday, so we are only two days apart!! 🙂

You look awesome!! Love the bump. 🙂 How exciting that you're not finding out! I think that's so cool, but then I think about the crazy OCD planner inside of me and don't think I could do it! I can't wait to see what you do with the nursery – you always make things look so cute!
Isn't it funny how now that you don't want to know the sex, you have to go back for another ultrasound? With my first, we found out and I had one ultrasound. With the second, we wanted to be surprised and I had THREE ultrasounds! The first thing I did every appointment was tell everyone in the office that we did NOT know the sex so no one would let it slip! — Kendra
We are also doing a neutral nursery and choose to use the paint color dewy by Sherwin Williams.
I vote for Navy! Especially if you have white trim!
You look adorable, and have tremendous will power not to find out the gender since you are quite the planner!
The insomnia is KICKING my booty. I find myself up and thinking about various things around midnight every night (when it's way too late to actually accomplish any of these things). And then up again around 5 am. Uggggh. The lack of sleep certainly hasn't helped combat the emotional crazy train that I am on, lol! You look adorable, although I know how you feel – cute is about the last adjective I'd describe myself as lately. But still, to everyone else, you seriously look great!
And go with grey! You can't go wrong! We painted both the guest room and Caleb's nursery pale grey, knowing that eventually one would be a nursery for a new baby. And it's the perfect neutral! It's been great for Caleb's boy nursery, and is going to be great for Vivi's girl nursery now too:)
I vote for gray AND navy…that's what we are doing our boy/girl bathroom in! The insomnia is KILLING ME….I seriously contemplated just getting up at 4:00 this morning when I couldn't fall back asleep. Instead, I just hit the snooze button for 45 minutes…ugh! I can't wait to find out the gender – good for you for holding out!!! Have a great week!
Ugh I had that same pregnancy insomnia when I was pregnant with Noah! I hated it that right when I got back to sleep it was time to get up for work! Good for you staying strong! I know I couldn't do it but I really give credit to people who wait to find out the gender!
Just found your blog! You're an adorable prego! Congrats!
