Hiding Out

We spent last night hiding from trick-or-treaters. It figures that the one year we don’t have any candy is the year we get a ton of kiddos wondering around our neighborhood. So we turned off the lights and hid out in the back of the house. Wrigley was NOT a fan of that plan.
Did you go trick-or-treating?

We should have done the same thing! We bought a ton of candy but only had about 4 groups come. Oh well, the husband and I will enjoy the leftover candy 🙂

    Happy Tuesday!

awww Wrigley! So adorable. I handed out candy for about 1 hour until it started getting really dark then I was done. All Miley wanted to do was play with the kids – every time the doorbell rang she would get there before me!

Haha I don't blame yall for hiding out. We only had about 20 "kids" come by. And by "kids" I mean about 10 fifteen year olds that weren't even dressed up. Punks.

OMG! We did the same thing!!! We always get like 3 kids, so this year we didn't buy candy. And then there were so many kids!!! What are the odds?!

Awww poor Wrigley! We passed out candy at Ryan's grandmother's house. It worked out…but I did think about the kids coming by our dark house. Sad!

We didn't see ANY signs of Halloween last night. I was kind of sad.

We bought candy and luckily not a lot because we didn't have one single trick-or-treater!!! I was a bit sad!

I hid out too. Hubs had to work late and our neighborhood is one that people drive into to trick or treat so I was not about to answer the door by myself for strange people. When I took the dogs for a run there were some punk kids, i kid you not, drinking beer just walking around. Crazy

I wasn't able to pass out candy this year as I originally planned… but I am glad I didn't end up buying candy because we had no trick or treaters in our area! We would have had a LOT of candy in the house which would be a big Problem for me!!! (and my dentist)

Haha that's too funny. I had 3 trick-or-treaters, and way too much candy. Hoping to return some of it today. 🙂

Trick or treating hours were 4-7 in our town. We got home from work at 6, and packed the dogs up to take them to my in-laws b/c we didn't buy candy and the dogs go nutso over the doorbell. For all the hassle of dragging the dogs around, there were probably two trick or treaters in our whole neighborhood. Next year, I'm not going to bother. It's less hassle to buy candy than move the dogs back and forth! LOL Jokes on me I guess!

haha, thats what my dad likes to do every year bc the rest of us are never home to hand out candy. He finally caved in yesterday morning, bought some candy, and was probably the friendliest guy on our block answering the door for the kiddie you wouldve never known he was making jokes about handing out cough drops that morning to ensure the kids would avoid our house next year(I heard him from my bedroom where, i was sick in bed) haha silly guy

Your plan sounds great to me! I tried to talk my hubz into doing the same thing, but he insisted that I not be a scrooge. My girls (two choco labs) were not big fans. We nicknamed Halloween "Doorbell Ringing Night" & I'm glad it only comes once a year. (hahaha)

From one ginger to another: I love your blog SO much!!! =)
