Happy Easter

I hope you all enjoyed your Easter Sunday! We celebrated the day with my in-laws and sister-in-law and had a wonderful time. And I totally forgot to take any pictures….but couldn’t resist posting Wrigley in his bunny attire.

Oh I did actually manage to take one photo of the yummy red jello salad that I made….after we all devoured it of course! I think we might have a small piece left over in our refrigerator right now…totally eating it as soon as I get home.

Oh, and get this. I learned yesterday that the husband has never participated in an Easter egg hunt! How crazy is that? I told him I would hide eggs for him next year to make up for it. Don’t let me forget that blog readers!

So how was your Easter? Please tell me someone had a egg hunt!

P.S. Have you heard about Very Jane? It is sort of like Groupdealz or Living Social. Anyway, right now if you sign up their deals are free! Today they have these adorable vinyl number decals. I just ordered mine and only had to pay $2.95 for shipping!

Glad you had a good Easter! We actually had an egg hunting competition yesterday for the older kiddos since we decided it was just too easy to hide eggs. It was so much fun!

That dessert…you just reminded me that I haven't made that since last summer…and now I MUST make it again! Would you mind sharing your recipe? Your center looks so much more creamy than mine usually is.

We did have an easter egg hunt. This consisted of my mother asking her grown children if we really seriously wanted her to hide eggs for us.

Happy Easter

We had a great Easter weekend at our house. My in-laws and sister-in-law came to visit and we had a great time catching up and relaxing. It was my first time hosting Easter, so I was a little nervous about cooking the meal and making sure everything turned out right. Plus, I’ve been sick all week so it was a little more difficult for me…but thanks to everyone it all worked out!

Me and the husband before church.

My in-laws.

After church we came back to our house for lunch. I made a roast and was nervous about the timing, but it turned out perfect!

My first roast was a success! So yummy.

I also made twice baked potatoes and a yummy salad with candied pecans. Everything tasted great and was worth all the effort.

I hope you had a wonderful Easter! He is Risen!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter! I meant to post these yesterday but I haven’t been feeling well. I was sick last Easter too…what is going on? Anyway, this year for Easter we went to the in-laws, which has become our tradition. Did you know that the first time I met Jon’s family was Easter 2006? I remember being nervous and hoping they would like me. They did! And here we are three years later celebrating our first Easter as a married couple. I am so thankful for my wonderful family. It is great to have some family close by in this still new-to-me state of Michigan. Even though I am far away from my own mom, it is nice to have a mom and dad here to talk paint samples, curtains, and kitties with! Love you guys!

Here we are on the porch….Erin is taking the picture. Last year and the year before it was too cold and snowy to go outside for pics…finally we got some slightly warmer weather. Not warm by California standards, but I’ll take this over snow on Easter any day!

There’s Erin!

Me and the husband. I hope you had a wonderful Easter 2009!

Happy Easter!

For Easter, Jon and I went to his parent’s house for some good cookin’ and family lovin’. This was my third Easter at the Renbargers…and it was great, as always. We did, however, have a good amount of snow on the ground….which we all really love, of course.

We spent a good two hours going through Jon’s baby pictures to see what ones we might want to use for a slide show at our wedding….and let me tell you, he was (and still is!) such a cutie! I am convinced that we are going to have the cutest children on the planet (but not any time soon, so don’t freak out mom). I wanted to pick every picture, they were all just sooo cute! But, I resisted…and we found some really good pics….yay!

Here we are with Jon’s sister, Erin.

Keeping it real with Connie and Jon Sr.
I like this picture of us…I think we look pretty.
Jon helped me make my world famous trifle…..pudding, angel food cake, whip cream, bananas, blueberries, strawberries…extreme yummieness….it is his absolute favorite thing that I make….
Me, showing off my creation….I’m good at that.
Oh yeah, I wanted to eat it all….don’t worry, I didn’t…

And when I got home I was greeted with not one, but two, stinky presents on the bathroom floor from this little guy….he must have really missed me….
