Halloween 2008

For Halloween this year, Jon an I went to our friends Mo and Ali’s place. Mo and Jon were roommates in college and Mo was also in our wedding. Mo and Ali are also coming to California for our second reception next week! We are so excited.

Halloween has a special place in our hearts…Jon and I met on Halloween three years ago. I was a cowgirl and he was a Vikings football player…the pastor at our wedding might have mentioned this during our ceremony. And when I say “might” I mean he did mention this. Embarrassing. Anyway, this year Jon was Magnum P.I. and I was a cheerleader. I wore my cheerleading outfit from my sophomore year of high school. That was 10 years ago…how crazy is that??? I couldn’t wear the top without showing more skin than I was comfortable with…but I could wear the skirt and jacket! Go me!

Here we are!
We got Jon’s clothes from the Good Will…his shorts totally made the outfit. He was totally channeling Tom Selleck here.
Jon with Mo. Mo was Tony Romo, complete with broken pinky finger, and Ali was Carrie Underwood…they were adorable.
Me trying to get that mustache to stay on!
Love it. I can’t believe that we met three years ago and now we are married! Thanks for a great time Mo and Ali!

Looks like you had a lot of fun. I hope you always get to celebrate Halloween as your special “holiday”. What a fantastic couple (even in costume).

It really is true when they say the days are long It really is true when they say the days are long but the years are short. One day I’m struggling to carry two babies at a time while wrangling a toddler and then next minute they are all off to school and practices and friends’ houses. With all three kids in school we’ve been thinking a lot about their futures and how we are going to one day pay for college. We set up a Michigan Education Trust 529 plan for each of our kids when they were babies and I am SO happy we did! With a MET account, we can pay for future college tuition at today’s prices. With MET’s discounted age-based pricing the earlier you start, the more you are able to save! Plus grandparents and other loved ones can contribute to my kids’ accounts too! With MET you get back what you put in if your child chooses a different path and the money goes with you if your child goes to school out of state. You can even transfer it to immediate family members and all contributions to MET plans are tax deductible! To learn more about how to set up a MET account and the benefits of starting your child’s account early, check out my stories or the link in my bio. @mieducationtrust #sponsored #SETwithMET #MI529 #collegesavings #METSept2023
