“G” is for Granite

Yesterday we had our granite counter tops installed in our kitchen. And I am IN LOVE!

Here’s a reminder of what it looked like before.
And after.

Our kitchen is so much brighter and seems bigger.
Up next is a new back splash. Not exactly sure when we’ll get to it, but hopefully soon! You can see that not only does the old back splash not match the new granite, but there is also a gap between the counter and the  bottom of the tile. That’s because our old counter tops were slightly thicker. Perfect excuse to replace that ugly tile!
I’m still in love with the white cabinets and new hardware and think it looks amazing with the granite.
We also got a new sink, which Sophie is obsessed with. It’s deeper than our old sink and SO much prettier. I’m so glad we went with an under-mount sink…it looks great with the granite. We are getting a new faucet installed this week as well.

Thanks for stopping by! I love my new kitchen!

It looks great! We just went through this last week. We have redone our entire kitchen besides the cabinets (floors, appliances, counter tops & back splash). I am loving having our new granite! We decided to tackle it before our baby arrives as well…and although it was stressful, I am glad it is over before he gets here. I felt so out of place without a kitchen that was usable, and I can't imagine if I was stuck at home with a new baby in it! Hope your faucet gets installed soon so you can use yours!
