This post is brought to you by one of my favorite strong mom must haves for even the biggest messes: Hefty® Ultra Strong™ trash bags!
Being a mother means that the lessons never stop. I’m either giving them or learning them constantly. First I learned how to care for a fussy baby in the middle of the night and now I’ve learned that I have to ask my kids approximately 30 times to put on their shoes before they actually will do it. Being a mom is my favorite job in the world. It’s also the hardest job I’ve ever had. I’ve never loved anyone as fiercely as I do my children and I’ve never felt so many emotions all at once.
I’m trying to role-model to my children how to make strong, healthy, and smart decisions. It isn’t always easy, and I often fall short. The truth is, none of us are perfect and we shouldn’t aspire to be. I am by no means perfect, but I am their first teacher and it is my responsibility to teach these young kids how to be strong, just by the way I carry myself through life, teaching compassion and empathy along the way. I hope to teach them by my actions how to find joy in the journey, even on days when everyone is fighting, no one is listening and things just aren’t going right. It’s a conscious, daily decision to do the best that I can for them- as a role model, and as their chef, professional picker-upper of all the things, ouchie kisser, taxi driver, personal stylist, and mama.
Motherhood is challenging on an easy day. It’s also the most wonderful and rewarding job I could have ever hoped for. Motherhood is my greatest blessing and I wouldn’t trade the chaos for anything.
It’s inevitable. Kids make messes and push your buttons. Having three little ones under the age of five has challenged me and pushed me unlike anything I have ever done before. It is the hardest, messiest, most difficult job in the world. But it is also the most amazing accomplishment and joy in my life. Motherhood is selfless, exhausting, thankless, and the reason my house is a mess 99% of the time and I haven’t showered in a day or two. But motherhood is also amazing, fun, full of love, hilarious, and incredibly fulfilling.
A big part of motherhood is asking yourself “why is this sticky?” or “why is this wet?” or “what is that smell?” And the rest is feeling like your heart is walking around in your two-year old’s little body and you can never kiss those chubby cheeks enough.
Just like Hefty®’s trash bags, moms are Ultra Strong in everything that they do. Hefty® is celebrating strong moms who tackle strong messes and make it look easy! They have teamed up with WWE star John Cena and his mom to show how mom knows best when it comes to ultra-strength and ultra-saving. You can view their cute video together here.
Hefty® Ultra Strong™ trash bags feature ARM & HAMMER™ odor neutralizer to keep smells at bay and have a tear resist technology to hold up to even the biggest messes. I love their break resistant grip drawstring that prevents the bag from falling inside the can and their 100% satisfaction guarantee: Hefty® can handle all your trash bag needs, or your money back!
