He is Risen! Happy Easter!
We had such an amazing Easter weekend as a family. Last Easter we struggled with the sudden loss of my good friend’s little boy three days before Easter, and I remember after our Easter egg hunt in our yard with the kids we just didn’t even have it in us to go to Church or visit with family. It was such a hard time. So this Easter was bitter sweet. Some day I’ll be able to talk about it more, but it’s still raw and hard. If anything this year has taught us all to really love one another more deeply, spend time together as a little family of five, and just soak up our kids being little. So that’s exactly what we did!
We bunny eared all week.
We dyed eggs on Saturday. And I never want to forget how sweet Hudson and Sadie were together. Sometimes they fight and argue, but they were so cute dying eggs and sharing colors. Hudson loved helping his little sister and I loved just being with them.
And the Easter Bunny went a little overboard on the Easter baskets. For those who saw my Instagram story and asked about the note from the bunny, he just made sure to let the kids know what color eggs were assigned to them for the hunt. Hudson was supposed to only pick up blue and green, Sadie pink and purple, and Belle orange yellow and white. That’s one smart Easter Bunny.
The kids were up bright and early for their Easter egg hunt! They loved it and had so much fun!
And we even made it to church a little early! I was nervous about it being really busy and the kid’s rooms filling up (we go to a very large church) but everything went smoothly!
I told the kids that all I wanted for Easter was a photo of all five of us. Most of them look like this.
After Belle’s nap we headed over to my in-law’s house for Easter dinner and another egg hunt. And I didn’t get any pictures! The kids love fishing in the little creek behind their house and had some fun soaking up the sunshine. So that was our Easter! Such a fun weekend.
Sounds like a nice weekend. Hudson looks so grown up in the photo with his dyed eggs!
Lovely family Easter weekend…so lovely thanks for sharing
