Christmas 2015

We had the BEST Christmas. Christmas with little kids is simply the most wonderful thing ever. For the past week Hudson has been waking up in the morning asking if it was Christmas yet….he was so dang excited. Too excited to even go to sleep on Christmas Eve. My husband had to pull the old “Santa was just on the roof but had to leave because you are still awake” trick in order to get him to sleep. And it worked like a charm. Noted.

We have learned to not put bows on any of Hudson’s presents. He’s all “nobody’s got time for that.”

Santa knocked the socks off of these two like nobody’s business.

This little lady had no clue what was happening, but she rolled with it.

The big hits of the day were this giant recycling truck and these remote controlled cars (one for Hudson and one for Daddy of course) and Violet the puppy and this tea set for Sadie. I’m dying over the tea set. It’s so stinkin’ cute. She obviously doesn’t know how to play with it but LOVES to clank the cups around…and big brother has been enjoying making tea too!

The kids and I made these little ornaments as a keepsake and as gifts for family….they turned out too cute. I still need to make a salt dough ornament out of Sadie’s handprint….it’s on my to do list for today! Also, side note, Hudson had an epic fit when he saw I made his handprint in to a reindeer and cut it out. He DOES NOT LIKE seeing it on the tree and is sure to remind me each morning of his unhappiness. #threenager

I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas!

"Santa's on the roof, but had to leave because you're still awake" – genius! I will have to remember that one. Looks like an amazing Christmas!!

It really is true when they say the days are long It really is true when they say the days are long but the years are short. One day I’m struggling to carry two babies at a time while wrangling a toddler and then next minute they are all off to school and practices and friends’ houses. With all three kids in school we’ve been thinking a lot about their futures and how we are going to one day pay for college. We set up a Michigan Education Trust 529 plan for each of our kids when they were babies and I am SO happy we did! With a MET account, we can pay for future college tuition at today’s prices. With MET’s discounted age-based pricing the earlier you start, the more you are able to save! Plus grandparents and other loved ones can contribute to my kids’ accounts too! With MET you get back what you put in if your child chooses a different path and the money goes with you if your child goes to school out of state. You can even transfer it to immediate family members and all contributions to MET plans are tax deductible! To learn more about how to set up a MET account and the benefits of starting your child’s account early, check out my stories or the link in my bio. @mieducationtrust #sponsored #SETwithMET #MI529 #collegesavings #METSept2023
