FRIDAY

Cheers to Friday! We’ve had rough last few nights of sleep with both kids, so I am ready for some rest and relaxation this weekend. But wait, I’m a parent, so that probably won’t happen. Oh well.

{one} I’m taking Hudson for a mommy-son date today to see Finding Dory and I don’t know who is more excited, him or me! I can’t wait to see the movie and spend some one-on-one time with my little guy.

{two} Speaking of Hudson, yesterday he said “mommy, you are the prettiest gurl in the whole wide world.” Cue the mama tears….especially because I had zero makeup on and my hair was a hot mess. Leave it to kids to look past all that and really see what matters. Then I asked him if Sadie was the prettiest girl in the whole wide world too and he said no. We’ll work on that one.

{three} And speaking of pretty girls, this lady had a blast splashing around with her brother yesterday.

We are missing so many parts to our water table after the move that I may have jumped online and bought another one. Plus I can see how having two might save me from a lot of drama this summer. Shh….don’t tell my husband.

{four} I’m co-hosting a super fun link up for July….Star Spangled Kids! Be sure to share your kids sporting their best red, white, and blue and link up with us starting July 1st!

{five} Now that we have zero carpet downstairs, I have to vacuum every. single. day. We live in the woods so there is always dirt….on everything. And I’m about to go cray. I need a robot vacuum in my life stat. If anyone has any recommendations, please let me know! I think I might break down and buy one this weekend….and pray that my kids don’t destroy it.

Happy weekend everyone!

Are you sure the full moon wasn't the past two nights? My two have slept awful as well. One ended up in my bed (which I hate!) the other screamed until he got a bottle. Hudson is so sweet. Gosh boys sure love their mamas!! Have a great weekend!

Sweet boy! I need to take Carter on a movie date! We recently got a Dyson cordless that we really like. My friend has the v6 which is like $500 but she swears it's necessary since they have all hardwood or tile. Not exactly how I want to spend that much $$$ but she swears it's worth it! Ours is around $269 and I think there's one at Costco now too.

Yep. Our wood floors are alwaysssss dirty. Someone said to me, "at my house, you can eat off of my floors. And get a full meal" Definitely true over here lollll. I want to take Abigail to the drive in to see Dory! We'll see! 🙂

I feel like I am always vacuuming or sweeping our floors. The door from the back yard and garage enter into the same small area so that spot is the worst. Smart on ordering a 2nd water table! Now, who gets the one with all the toys? 😉

We just saw finding dory today and LOVED it! So nice that you are doing a mommy son date! And a robot vacuum sounds great! Though I just bought a handheld vacuum and am super pleased Noah loves using it and will randomly go to the closet to clean up the little messes he sees!

#ad It’s that time of year! Time to make sure yo #ad It’s that time of year! Time to make sure your child is up to date on their well-child visits and vaccines! As the chief advocate for my kids, I always want to make decisions that are the best for them and for our family. There isn’t anything I wouldn’t do for these little loves of mine, and I know all of you can relate! That is why I vaccinate my kids. Vaccinating your child is one of the safest and most effective things you can do to protect them against serious preventable diseases. If you live in Michigan like we do, it’s time to schedule that well-child visit and make sure your kids are up to date on their vaccinations! I’ve done a lot of research and talked to our pediatrician at length about what is best for my family and I would encourage you to do so too. It’s normal to have questions—it makes you a good parent! But make sure you are getting answers from credible sources. Remember, vaccines are safe, effective, and help protect everyone. Ultimately I decided to vaccinate my children because not doing so puts them at risk of contracting a potentially deadly disease. I want the best for my kids. If you have questions or need a reliable resource, check out @IVaccinateMI for information and tools based on real medical science and research to help Michigan parents protect their kids from vaccine-preventable diseases.
