As you know, I recently took a trip to California for work. And since I am originally from Southern California, I got to spend some time at home with my mom. Whenever we are together funny things happen to us. One day we went to an outdoor shopping center to…well, shop of course! When we were walking to our car a taxi van pulled up and asked us where the El Torito restaurant was. Now, Mr. taxi man, you asked the wrong people. I hadn’t been to that particular shopping center probably since 2005 and my mom, well, she doesn’t really go there either. So as far as I knew, El Toritio was not anywhere close by. So we apologized to the taxi guy and his elderly woman passenger and let them know we had no idea. The lady seemed confused, and my mom and I felt so bad for her. Then, not 10 seconds after the taxi drives away I look up and spy the restaurant! I tried to flag the taxi down but it was no use….so what do we do? Well, hop in the car and chase the guy down of course!

You and your mom are way too sweet! It was soo nice to help that lady (and the clueless taxi driver)!
I feel as though taxis inevitably induce interesting experiences 🙂
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I'm proud to say I got that red dress for 20 buck-a-roos!
Hope you're having a great day!
P.s. I'm thinking of starting a Love it, Keep it.
I know this is only funny to us but I am laughing just remembering it…….to be accurate, however, the majority of your waving was done with your arm inside the car, kind of like a beauty queen waving from a parade float……that's what had me in tears!
As the story went on I actually thought you would be having lunch with the lady.
You were very kind.
