As you may know, last week I attended the Bloom Workshop and oh my word…talk about a day filled with pretty things and pretty people! I left feeling inspired to make my blog and life beautiful! (flowers by The Day’s Design) (and photo by me! Thanks to Ashley for her amazing tutorial that day!)
The workshop was held at the Hydrangea Blu Barn…it was such a gorgeous venue! If I had it all to do over again I would get married there in a hot second!
Michaela and Ashley were wonderful hosts and had so many good things to share. Rumor has it they are thinking about offering the workshop in other cities, so if you have a chance to go I highly recommend it! These two did their research and put together a wonderful program. Part of the day was spent talking about blogging and social media and the rest of the time was dedicated to styling, photography, and a beautiful styled photo shoot.
The cake. Oh my word this cake was beautiful.
There were probably 30-35ish women there…including my friend Jenny! I haven’t seen her in 7 or 8 years, so it was so fun to catch up….but basically it’s like there was no time gap between us because we both blog about our lives. Funny how that works!
We were seated inside of the barn for most of the day (it was so cold outside!) and I just loved all of the decor. Michaela and Ashley have such a good eye!
This was the table Michaela styled for the photo shoot. It was so pretty…I totally wanted to take those napkins home! (they were from C. Wonder…similar here).
I also got to sit on the “expert panel” at the end of the day…and it went really well! Abby from Abby M. Interiors and Tieka from Selective Potential joined me (along with Michaela and Ashley) and it was so much fun! I have zero pictures of it so I’m hoping someone blogs about it soon!
I met so many wonderful people and made some new friends. All in all it was such a fun and sweet day!
Each attendee was sent home with this amazing swag bag! Here are a few of my favorites: scarf from Lee & Birch, mug from Ashley & Malone, candle (I got SoCal…how perfect!) from Bash Events, earrings from Pomfret Creations, print from Evelyn Henson, gold foil print from Lara Casey Media, pencils from Design Darling, business card holder from Sweet Sugar Beet (which I busted out and immediately started using!) and a beautiful tote bag from Dream State. Swoon!
Thank you Michaela and Ashley for such a fun and beautiful workshop! I can’t wait to see what’s next for Bloom!
It's so nice to spend a day surrounded by pretty things and creative ideas. I'm happy you got to do this!

I am so jealous! I wanted to go so bad but the week didn't work out great for us. I definitely plan on going next year!!

How awesome! The flowers were BEAUTIFUL! Xxxx.
you did AWESOME on the panel 🙂 I don't have any photos though (blogger fail).
Looks like such a beautiful and inspiring day! The photo you took of the flowers is magazine quality! I bet you took away some great new tools from the experience. You mentioned the business card holder from the swag bag, so I have to ask you where you had business cards made for your blog. I'm still trying to figure out what to do for mine for BlogHer next month.
So fun! I've never been to a bloggers workshop, but have always wanted to go. I love all the decorations and details they had. Amazing. And that first photo you took is GORGEOUS!
looks like it was a fabulous event! that decor looks like it was right up my alley and I know that if I was to do my wedding over it would look very similar to this too!! what a great opportunity – hope they come to Seattle!!!!
