Loved reading this! Lilly is just starting to talk and I love it-Can't wait until we have little conversations similar to this with eachother! Only, I imagine I will be telling her not to throw things (x,y,z…) at her brother, not just people-ha! Love all of H's outfits too! Do you plan on or ever sell things he has outgrown?
Meg Cady says
If it makes you feel any better I have to tell me 14 year old students that we "don't throw _______ at people" almost on a daily basis!
🙂
Gina says
Oh yes! My son thinks poop is the funniest word. Of course he'll tell me right after he does it. Also, when we are peeing on the potty he says it and then passes gas and thinks that is then the funniest thing in the world. BOYS 🙂 And they don't grow out of that
"Kittes don't like hugs." Haha! You could've fooled my kiddo. Too cute.
This was great! I especially love the last one- that's hilarious!

Pretty sure nice boys go and fetch you a cookie while eating theirs… No one shares cookies 😉
Love this. Ah, life with a toddler!
LOL loved this! Seems like cutie Hudson is in the throwing stage. Jonah throws EVERYTHING! By the way, the popcorn at Target is genius! I'm totally doing that when I go with the kids.
Erin LFF says
LOL- love this post and hearing about his little personality developing! 🙂 Nothing wrong with popcorn at 9:30am btw 😉
Kathleen says
HAHAH!! This is so precious! I had to tell one of my 16 years old student not to throw books at others. If only the words "Nice boys" had any effect! Your little one is the cutest!! 🙂
Leslie Lukens Martin says
Hahahaha! I'm guessing you're going through a "throw EVERYTHING" stage??? But I've gotta tell you, he is A-DOR-able!
Jess Beer says
Hahhaa…the things that come out of our mouths…I think our most recent was "Abbie, don't put your cookie on the cat…"
Rebecca Jo says
I hope you keep track of stuff like this all the time… it'd make a great book one day 🙂

Thank you for sharing! I think I said 99% of those at my hosue this week and am laughing with such joy that other mom's say the same thing.

Love. I'm always laughing at the stuff that comes out of my mouth these days. Crazy kiddos.

HAHAHA these are too good. Have to love toddlers.
Oh my gosh, these are amazing! I think my favorite is "we don't throw spatulas at people" . LOL. I see a theme here…
Colleen Sullivan says
Ha! You seriously have me laughing! I wish I had a tape recorder to hear all the crazy stuff I've said in the last 2 or so years!
LOL – Love this post!
Hilarious! It's so true isn't it, the ridiculous things that become pedestrian when you have a toddler!!!! I love the resignation of "yeah, I did bite him, but you should have heard what he said to me". Hudson is such a spunk! xx
Oh man, this is hilarious! As a fellow boy mom, I've said a couple of these all too many times! (like thank you for peeing on the rug instead of the carpet! haha)
HORRAY for toddlers! Between the beach and Peacocks (b*tch and cocks) we had our fair share of swearing too 😉
Hahahaha oh toddler life.
Lol, toddler-mom life… And I wish there was a cookie already in my mouth, even if it's still pre-breakfast 😉
The Joni Journey
haha love it!!
Love these so much. We should start a link up or series – because I have some gems too (as I'm sure most mamas do). This week? "We don't put our balls on the dog's face." I only realized how that sounded after I'd said it. Caleb had been hitting Ellie in the face with his mini foam footballs all day. Sigh.
Hehe love these so much! I only laugh because the same type things come out of my mouth ALL of the time too! 🙂
Ha! These crack me up!! And some of them sound all too familiar!
Haha so funny!!! I love that you are keeping track…sometimes I can't believe what comes out of my (and Cameron's) mouth!!!
LOL!!! This had and laughing out loud this morning! Can't wait until my one year old is talking 🙂 So cute. Love your blog! http://www.chasingdreamsandcatchinglife.blogspot.com
toddler talk–FAV!
Love these!!
LOL! Oh the life as the Mommy of a toddler boy. Never a dull moment, is there??
Chels @ Red Velvet Rooster
Hilarious! Can't wait until my little man hits 18months for the "language explosion" 🙂
These posts are great! Sometimes we ask my daughter to say 'fork' and it comes out a little different, considering she can't say the 'r' sound 😉
Love these posts! So cute and funny…and true. 🙂 The crazy things we say as Moms. -Jess @ Sweet Little Ones
LOL oh the cookie one had me laughing! Owen always wants the food I have already started chewing and it's like he cannot believe I would do something so awful to him.
I vote for this to be a weekly post. 🙂 LOVE THIS.
Sheep, shit, same difference 😉
East Willow Grove.
hahaha, love it!
Too cute. I'm glad you are keeping a record of these things. I can absolutely hear him saying "yeah" to the biting a friend question!
Motherhood at its finest 🙂
The cookie in my mouth comment? Stuff like that comes out of my mouth all the time and sadly usually resutls in a tantrum because she wanted THAT cookie or cracker, etc 🙂
LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!
