I’m up early for once, yes! I have about 20 minutes to myself to make coffee and check my to-do list. I’ve been adding collagen to my coffee every morning and I LOVE it. I think it is making my skin feel more smooth and helping me sleep more soundly. Or maybe it’s all in my head. Either way, I’m doing it!
At 11:30 playtime is over and we head on over to pick Hudson up from school.
Then it’s lunch for everyone and more messes for me to clean up. I toss a load of laundry in the washer too. (I try and do one load per day…but that doesn’t always happen).
At 12:30 Sadie goes down for her nap. At 1:00 I have groceries delivered. All the amens for that service! Because grocery shopping with three kids is on the list of my least favorite activities.
Before Belle’s nap I have my mom snap this picture for an Instagram giveaway I am doing. I get all the camera settings just right and then hand it over to her. I get a lot of questions about who takes the photos of me for my blog/Instagram….and the answer is 95% of the time my mom! And 5% my husband.
At 1:30 Belle goes down for her nap. I have about 30 minutes before Sadie wakes up to work on blog stuff while Hudson colors.
Wednesday
I am up at 5:30 to get some work done! I’m tired but it’s worth it. Except Belle wakes up at 5:50. So there goes that.
On Wednesdays my mom takes Hudson to school for me and then takes Sadie to bible study with her. Sadie gets to play in the church nursery (her very favorite thing!), so it leaves me with just Belle. YES!
Belle goes down for her nap at 9:30.
I bust a move and work work work. And do a load of laundry while she sleeps.
Big kids get home around noon, we do lunch, then nap for Sadie at 12:30 and Belle at 1:30. My afternoons look mostly the same every day!
Then this picture sums up our afternoon. Madness. And playtime. And apparently no more photos the rest of the day.
I can’t remember the evening….but it’s always the same: dinner, play, bath time, then bed. It was a long day.
Thursday
I try and wake up before the kids but it’s just not happening today. Hudson is up first at about 6:45. Followed by Belle. Sadie sleeps until 7:30. The morning is a blur. Documenting your week is hard.
I pump a bottle for Belle with an audience. I’m getting my hair cute this morning so my mom is watching both of the girls while I am gone.
I get home around 12:30 to find Jon is taking a break from work and is feeding both girls their lunch. I put Sadie down for her nap. Then put my Costco stuff away and eat lunch myself. Then at 1:30 it’s time for Belle’s nap and I have some more alone time! Jon is all over me about not buying all of the My Little Ponies (since I talked about them forever!) so I begin wishing I bought them all. I realize I forgot to get some baby oatmeal for a blog post so I decide to go back to Target after the girls wake up from their naps.
Once they are up we hit up Target and the girls are so well behaved, I think maybe they aren’t my children. I only find one of the ponies…..and Sadie flips out over it and insists on opening it up right away (it’s the first time she’s seen them since I hid the ones I bought from her for Easter and her birthday).
Then we swing through the new Chick-fil-a drive through for dinner (yes!) and drive to my in-laws house to pick up Hudson. Then we head home.
No one complains about dinner (score!). Hudson has karate on Thursday nights so Jon and I rotate who takes him…and it’s my turn. So he takes care of putting the girls to bed while I take off with Hudson.
I haven’t seen him practice in a while so it’s fun watching him. All of the kids in his class have karate uniforms (is that what they are called?) but Hudson has decided not to continue with Karate so we didn’t get one. He’s in a red shirt and blue shorts. He has his little yellow belt though, and he’s pretty proud of himself.
After Karate we head home and Hudson goes straight to bed. Once he’s asleep I do a little work and then take a shower and head to bed myself.
Friday
Fridays are LONG in our house! Hudson doesn’t have school so I usually try and set up some sort of outing or playdate. But today I have nothing planned.
I have no idea what we did all morning. But by 9am my house looks like this.
The big kids paint with these dab and dot markers while Belle naps.
When Belle wakes up they all play together while I clean up the kitchen and make my to-do list for the following week. I also sneak in another load of laundry and wipe down the hall bathroom really quickly. Like at lightning speed.
Then it’s lunch and naps for the girls. While they sleep Hudson and I straighten up the mud room, play go fish, and I watch him ride his bike in the driveway. And apparently don’t take any photos.
Then, once the girls are up we play some more!
Looks like Belle and Hudson stayed in pjs all day. Sadie always insists on a “pretty dress”, which is the only reason she is dressed. Jon gets home around 4pm today (yay!) and takes the big kids outside to play while I make dinner and tidy up around the house. Again.
Julie– with 3 of my own as well– ages 4, 3, and 1– I can relate all too well. And I’m so tired reading your blog. I read once– “and then one day we decided we were sick of sleeping in and doing whatever we pleased in a clean house– so we had kids” true right?! bless you mama!
These busy, whirlwind days are all too familiar! They feel SO LONG minute to minute (especially around the hour of 4pm), but before you know it, they’re all over and your house looks like it exploded! This is my life! Thanks for sharing!

What a busy week! What brand of Collagen powder do you use? 🙂
Love it…I am not a blogger but have kids about the same ages and genders as you do…I think it would be fun to document a week in the life for memory sake. My days look similar expect my two oldest go to Montessori school everyday from 8:30-2:30 (alleluia) and unfortunately I don’t have groceries delivered (that would be awesome). I’m on the hunt for the ponies…no more hooker ponies coming into this house 🤣🤣🤣. Thanks for doing this. Oh and a question…do you meal plan?
This sounds busy but not as busy as it seems when I watch it in real time! You are a wonderful mother and your children are blessed to have you.
This sounds a lot like my week – my oldest has an almost identical school schedule to Hudson it seems! Do you mind me asking what kind of car you have and if you like it? Looks nice and roomy! 🙂
Busy week! I can totally relate : ) I have 3 kids about the same ages and would love to see more of what you make for lunches/dinners. My kids are picky too, so I’m always looking for new recipes/ideas!
Haha this sounds exactly like my week (except minus one kid). It’s like 50% of the time someone is eating and the other 50% is survival!
Haha, friend you are a rockstar for getting this post done and published!! I had the most manic Monday that even the thought of this makes me tired… Well done – I LOVED the insight into your week x
I am exhausted just reading this let alone living it. Amen mama you deserve all the coffee and wine.
