A Few Favorite Things

Every now and then I like to share some of my new favorite finds…and it turns out you guys love these posts, so I’ll keep them coming!

First up is this CC cream by Supergoop! I’m OBSESSED with this product. It goes on so smooth and gives my skin with just a tint of color and a nice dewy feel and look. I’ll sometimes mix it with some foundation if I want a little more coverage. It feels so good on my skin, goes on fast, and makes me feel a little put together. And it’s SPF 40. Seriously, go buy this now and thank me later.

Next is The One Year Book of Devotions for Preschoolers. I love this book. It’s filled with short, easy to read and comprehend devotional stories aimed at young children. I try and read one during dinner each night (it doesn’t always happen…because dinner can be crazy in my house). The kids love them, the lessons are great, and they take only a few minutes…which is perfect for short attention spans. I can’t recommend this book enough!
I’m currently writing this post while wearing these glasses. I was getting headaches every night and it finally occurred to me they could have been caused by staring at a computer screen. These help me not strain as much when I look at the screen. Game changer. Plus they make me look super smart.
After two weeks of Young Fives, we got the dreaded “a child at school has lice” email. Thankfully I don’t think the child actually went to school with lice…but the parent reported it just in case. I purchased this Fairy Tales Rosemary Repel Lice Prevention spray and spritz some on Hudson before he goes to school for peace of mind. Nobody’s got time for lice in this house.
Okay, so we don’t technically own these shoes yet….but look at them. Sadie NEEDS them. I went on the hunt for the cat & jack “jancy” shoes in pink and couldn’t find them. But I stumbled upon these babies and am kicking myself for not buying them. Guess you know where I’ll be going today.
Happy Friday everyone!

The preschooler devotional is such a great idea, I'm going to be an auntie soon so I"ll have to remember this. Also, that spray is awesome. A friend of mine had to deal with the dreaded Lword and she used the spray and it was fantastic.

Ugh, we're currently on "lice watch" too! It's going around the elementary school and couple of the neighbor kids had it! Praying it doesn't show up here but thinking I need the spray for extra protection!

#ad It’s that time of year! Time to make sure yo #ad It’s that time of year! Time to make sure your child is up to date on their well-child visits and vaccines! As the chief advocate for my kids, I always want to make decisions that are the best for them and for our family. There isn’t anything I wouldn’t do for these little loves of mine, and I know all of you can relate! That is why I vaccinate my kids. Vaccinating your child is one of the safest and most effective things you can do to protect them against serious preventable diseases. If you live in Michigan like we do, it’s time to schedule that well-child visit and make sure your kids are up to date on their vaccinations! I’ve done a lot of research and talked to our pediatrician at length about what is best for my family and I would encourage you to do so too. It’s normal to have questions—it makes you a good parent! But make sure you are getting answers from credible sources. Remember, vaccines are safe, effective, and help protect everyone. Ultimately I decided to vaccinate my children because not doing so puts them at risk of contracting a potentially deadly disease. I want the best for my kids. If you have questions or need a reliable resource, check out @IVaccinateMI for information and tools based on real medical science and research to help Michigan parents protect their kids from vaccine-preventable diseases.
