5 ways in which I don’t have it all together

1. I spent Saturday night in tears over my blog domain registration. I waited until the very last minute (as usual) to renew it and couldn’t remember my stupid google apps login and password. Because I DIDN’T EVEN KNOW I HAD GOOGLE APPS. And everything might has well have been written in ancient Greek because who UNDERSTANDS GOOGLE TECH SPEAK? Certainly not me. Oh my word, it was confusing. Thank God for my husband who calmed me down mid panic attack and helped me figure it out. Stupid Google. I’m not friends with you anymore.
2. We are still rocking our Christmas jammies.
3. See all this junk currently living on my stairs? It’s been there for at least 5 days….and I have no plans of actually putting it all away. It’s where folded laundry and random things that should go upstairs have gone to die.

4. My mailbox looks like this. My email inbox is even worse. I have about 33 emails that I’ve read, then marked “unread” so that I can deal with them later. Five days later and I they are still there….I’m in denial.

5. Thanks to a broken sink drain and a curious kitty, I’ve fished my wedding ring out of the drain more times than I care to count.

Hah! I totally have boxes sitting in my dining room from the move last month and I have no plans of unpacking those anytime soon. I also have a broken garbage disposal, which only leaves one functioning, non leaking side of the sink. I'm not sure anybody EVER gets it truly together. LoL

We have 3 laundry baskets sitting in the hallway and ended up sleeping on the couch last night because I forgot to put all our bed sheets in the dryer and we were exhausted.
Here is to a better week full of catching up!!

Whenever the emails overwhelm me…I check all and delete. Terrible habit that I swear does not happen too often. But I figure if it's really important I will hear from them again!

#1 – That's how I spent my Saturday night! Crying over my stupid blog domain registration. I didn't get it figured out until yesterday (The Mister doesn't do much technology-speak).

Hope your week is off to a better start!

It is seriously amazing how frustrated I get by stupid internet passwords and such. I mean fuming mad!!! Technology so knows how to push my buttons, too.

The stairs picture totally made me laugh out loud. Our stairs look that way every single day! Throughout the day I put things there that need to go back upstairs…whether they make it up there or not is another story 😉

    January 27, 2014 at 3:32 pm

And this is why I love you! Because sometimes you are totally put together. And sometimes you're not. That's life! My stairs look just like yours. And so does my email inbox. I keep imagining that if I continue to ignore it, the emails might just start answering themselves, ha!

Also, Caleb has rocked Christmas jammies twice in the past week. No shame.

At our house jammies are jammies. Seasonally appropriate or not! She is lucky if they are clean. Hope you have a good day!!

OMG. This is why I haven't gotten a real domain! I know I'll forget to update it and then I'll lose my blog or something! HAHA And don't worry – we're totally rocking the Christmas pjs still!

My stairs pretty much look like that on a regular basis. And we have our Christmas decorations boxed up in my dining room but they haven't made it to the shed yet because I don't think we've had one day where there isn't snow on the ground or rain falling since January 1. Keeping it real. Love this post!

Thanks for always keeping it real, hollla!

ah, the dreaded google renew your domain problem. I actually did a post about this bc I had the same problem and it was so horrible. I'm glad to know someone else reads emails then marks as unread for weeks or months on end. I do this EVERYDAY…aghhh

Hope your week gets better! We are still rocking Christmas jammies over here too, and probably will until they no longer fit! Nothing wrong with a little Christmas cheer throughout the year!

    January 27, 2014 at 6:39 pm

Ugh- google is a total pain! The only reason mine worked out was apparently I'd signed up for auto-renewal already?! I had no way to access my apps account either and STILL never got in. So frustrating!

    January 27, 2014 at 7:09 pm

I personally think it's great you don't have it all together (in your mind at least). To me, it shows you're real and honest…no one should have to pretend that life is messy–especially with babies and work! You're doing a great job, momma!

holy batman thats a lot of snow!!! we are expecting out first snow (since we moved here) in wilmington nc this week. being from the mountains, i cannot wait to see some actual snow here at the beach. and imperfect is perfect in my opinion. 🙂 🙂 🙂

  26. "B" says

    January 27, 2014 at 7:31 pm

I always have a laundry basket loaded with either clean or dirty clothes that needs to go up or down the stairs… and there is always mail stacked on the counter, shoes and coats near the door and not in the hall closet and TOYS TOYS TOYS. I put them away and someone has them out faster than I can blink. Oh well. Sometimes just sitting down to read a book or play babies is worth the clutter:)

  27. Jess Norden says

    January 27, 2014 at 7:35 pm

Laundry baskets…everywhere! Some with clean laundry, some with dirty laundry, some with toys, shoes and sippy cups…who knows!!!

We are still wearing Halloween pjs…they still fit, so why not?! Haha!

  28. Colleen Sullivan says

    January 27, 2014 at 8:36 pm

It sounds like we can ALL relate to having piles of things with no place laying around our homes. I pretty much always have something waiting to go up stairs and other things waiting to come downstairs, but UGH I don't want to deal with them…so there they sit.

My sister-in-law aka homemaker extraordinaire told me once that she heard somewhere that any time you go up the stairs you should take something up with you.

  29. Leah @ Everyday Love says

    January 27, 2014 at 8:59 pm

I'm right there with you minus the mailbox and sink drain. The google domain renewal put me over the edge when it came up last month!

  30. Andrea says

    January 27, 2014 at 9:44 pm

I hate al the new google stuff. Frustrating, for sure! And I can't believe how much SNOW you guys have! It's so mild up here in the PWN!

  31. Courtney says

    January 27, 2014 at 10:41 pm

We have a "junk drawer" in the kitchen where are the random crap lives. I hate that drawer so much. The other place things collect is on top of our entertainment center and our desk in the kitchen. I'm currently staring at a 10 loose light bulbs and a roll of yellow duct tape sitting on top of the tv. EESH.

Oh good call on reminding me about domain registration. I think mine is coming up soon and I remember the mess of trying to login before…I should look into that.

Totally still rocking the Christmas jams too! They're so cute, why not? Except I just bought some of those adorable Dino pjs from Carter's so we may have to switch holidays soon!…or just wear Valentine's Day until St. Patty's Day!

Love this post!! And a couple things to add:
    1) You are a REAL mom and I love it… those are things all of us face (except maybe the amount of snow around your mailbox– that is so crazy!!)
    2) I still read your posts and I'm sorry I haven't commented like I should– still love keeping up with your sweet family
    3) Kyle jokes he's going to get me a shirt that says "Nope, not today" about our piles on the back staircase. I leave things there for over a week sometimes haha and totally put off bringing the things upstairs!
