5 on Friday

Happy Friday! I’m linking up with the ladies of The Good Life, A. Liz Adventures,Carolina Charm, and Hello Happiness for 5 on Friday…and you should too! Let’s do this!
{one} Turns out, despite being the best dog ever, Wrigley isn’t the best babysitter. Bummer. Turned my back for two seconds and Hudson went for a swim in the water table.

{two} I think it’s time for me to get a fitbit. Someone help me convince my husband that I NEED it!

{three} Spring has finally sprung at our house and we couldn’t be happier. We basically spend all of our free time outside enjoying the fresh air. But let me say this…..living in Michigan is tough. Not only do I have to suffer through crazy long winters, but once it’s finally nice outside there is SO MUCH WORK to do to get your yard in tip top shape. Oh my word. Life isn’t fair. #somanyweeds
{four} Speaking of yard work…this broom set has been a game changer. After several attempts to sweep our porch and instead having my broom snatched out of my hands, I broke down and bought Hudson his own. Best purchase ever. His future wife is going to love me for teaching him to help out at such a young age! The best part? The broom is a toucan….which has prompted a lot of “Who can get the house beaky clean? You can, toucan!”
{five} In case you missed it, I’m teaming up with Natasha to give away one one but TWO $25 Sugar Bit gift cards! Sugar Bit has the cutest clothes for kiddos…be sure to enter here.

I'm pretty sure I need a fit bit too, but I've yet to pull the trigger. We have been deep in yard work lately too, but I sort of loving it. All the flowers are starting to bloom and I love having fresh herbs!

I'm still waiting around for my guys to take the hint and but me a fit bit. I know I'll use it! He seems to think I'll tire of it.

Getting the little ones involved in cleaning is the greatest thing. They feel so important and we can get the actual work done.

    Have a gray weekend!

Same story in Minnesota. And then there are the mosquitoes, too. But, I'm so glad it's above Zero!!! I love the little broom set. Kids who start helping out young keep it up as they get older.

haha, Aria figured out how to climb up in her water table a few weeks ago. Around the same time she figured out how to climb up onto our dining room chairs. sigh.

We have that broom set. Aria looooves it! It is one of the few toys that she really enjoys and uses all the time. Momma win for sure. I love when that happens =)

I want a fitbit too! It's on my list, but there are other things ahead of it :). And yeah, being here in Ohio just slightly south of you, the winter was super harsh and I am just beginning to address my weed situation outside. Best of luck to you with yours!

Your house is so charming–I didn't even notice the weeds!!! And my parents have a little broom set in their playhouse for Arden…she loves it, but I keep finding her brushing her hair with the little dust brush. Yikes!!!

Eventhough we have mild winters here in the PNW we still have a ton of weeds. I can't seem to get myself to get my act together in the fall to put our garden "to bed" so that life will be easier in the spring. Maybe this year!!

5 on Friday

THE GOOD LIFE BLOG

Happy Friday everyone! And yay for a long weekend!

I’m linking up with The Good Life Blog, Carolina Charm, A. Liz Adventures, and Hello Happiness for 5 on Friday….and you should too!

 photo IMG_0684.jpg
{one} I can’t believe Hudson will be one next week! We are having his party this weekend and I can’t wait! P.S…Those chubby thighs just kill me. I just want to bottle him up and keep him forever.

{two} Carters has everything 50% off right now! I picked up these lion jammies for Hudson and was SO sad that I couldn’t find the moose and bear pair in his size (well, in the size he’ll need in a few months). They are beyond adorable! If anyone finds them in size 18 or 24 months I’m sure he wouldn’t mind getting new jammies for his birthday!

{three} My mom came over and put together my shoe cabinet from Ikea….and I LOVE it! It’s so nice to have somewhere to keep all of our shoes out of sight and out of little hands that love to play with and eat shoe laces!

{four}  Diet? What diet? OMG get in my belly now! Recipe here.

{five} And I hope you aren’t sick of me talking about the Kid Tested, Mom Approved link up! Just a reminder that it starts next week Tuesday! Details can be found here.
