{one} The terrible 2’s have hit us early. At least that’s what I’m hoping because if Hudson’s behavior actually gets worse once he’s 2, I’m in for it. This boy is DRAMA.
{two} I’m thinking of adding this print to my next gallery wall. It suits me, right?
{three} It’s my sweet husband’s birthday tomorrow and I have a fun little surprise present for him. I can’t wait to give it to him!!!!
{four} Apple cider vinegar is my dirty clean little secret to healthy, shiny hair. I rinse my hair with a solution of 50% water 50% vinegar once every week or two and it does wonders! It helps clean out all of the products in my hair and leaves it so so soft. And it’s cheap. Win-win. Shampoo your hair, rinse with water, then rinse with the vinegar mixture. Leave it in while you shave your legs or whatever else you do in the shower. Then rinse it off thoroughly (or you will smell like vinegar, yuck!) and then condition your hair as usual. You’re welcome in advance. Word of warning: your husband will think you are crazy….but your hair will be pretty, so who cares!
{five} Leave it to Pinterest to make me feel inadequate I need to make an advent calendar asap. Love this one by Echoes of Laughter.
How many weeks old is Hudson now?? I thought we had an early case of terrible 2's as well, but at 75 weeks (17ish months) they go through a huge developmental leap which makes them very cranky/cryful/frustrated in the lead up. Hopefully that's what this is for us too, otherwise next year is going to be hard!!! Have a great weekend xx
My son was in daycare and I feel he started the terrible two's early too. You'll get through it. Oh, and I just bought an advent calendar at Land of Nod. I can't wait to see how your's turns out.
I need to try that apple vinegar rinse. Thanks for the tip! I'm always on the look out for easy hair tips.
I think we've entered into early terrible 2's over here as well. Drama drama drama! It's been a hard week! Interesting hair tip, I might try that!
I am loving all your family pictures!I would add any of them to my gallery wall! 🙂 Working on an advent calendar now, it is one of my favorite parts of Christmas!
Yay drama stage! Meltdowns for no reason are the best… And I'm hoping they maybe go away at 2 (ya right). Happy birthday Jon!!! I hope his birthday surprise is heathers birthday surprise 😉 and apple cider vinegar eh? I think I just need better hair?
You guys are too adorable! And THANK YOU for the hair tip…I can use all of the advice I can get! Cameron has QUITE the 'tude lately, too….I think we are in for it!!! Have a great weekend. 🙂
Happy birthday to your husband!! And we're totally in the terrible two's too…its a knock down (me), drag out (him) fight every time we have to leave an elevator. Yes, an elevator. He loves them and would ride them all day long if I let him.
So going to try that vinegar rinse – I love anything cheap and easy!
And that advent calendar is TOO cute!
Dominick has hit the terrible twos as well. I think he and Hudson would get along perfectly…they could throw their tantrums together. 😉
My child is total drama most of the time! Everyone keeps telling me that 3 is the worst…yikes. I'm scared.
Apple Cider Vinegar is so great for so many things!! I use it as a toner, a hair rinse & I even drink it when I have sinus/cold symptoms! Works wonders! I'm convinced that & coconut oil are the solution to most problems 😉 Haha
oh man, I'm in the "terrible 22 months" so I'm totally with you on the toddler front! Love the advent calendar idea! Also, I just want to say that your blog is wonderful, I wish I had known about it while I was nursing Mason that first year. Still the most difficult thing I've ever done. hands down! Happy Weekend 🙂
You've got me really intrigued about the vinegar rinse! Thanks for the tip!
Toddlers are total drama! Mac is the same way! It does get better once they start talking and can let you know what they want. A little. Although talking brings on all new issues. And I'm totally trying the apple cider vinegar trick! Is it ok to use on colored hair??
I love apple cider vinegar. I like to put it on salads with a little oil so I could def. try it on my hair. I tried coconut oil once and it was pretty greasy for the next 2-3 washes and smelled funny. Max is in his whiny/tantrum stage as well. I try not to laugh and just ignore it but it's funny when he walks and puts himself in a corner when he doesn't get his way. I am trying to get him to use his words because he'll just start whining and pointing. I can't wait to hear about Jons surprise (happy birthday) and I also need an advent calendar but I am not sure I want to make one (too much work).
Aww poor Hudson! Hopefully the terrible 2's just came early! & Your hubs & I have the same birthday! How fun!! Hope y'all have a fun weekend! && Can we discuss how awesome your healthy hair secret is!? I love this!!
I love that advent calendar! I need to make one ASAP also! Funny story, My Mom used to rinse my hair in a vinegar solution when I was a kid and I have always had such healthy hair, maybe I need to start this again! ?
Have a lovely weekend 🙂
Ohhh I think I will try that apple cider vinegar tip asap. Florida does terrible things to my hair and there is that whole never having time to make it pretty thing. It can use all the help it can get.
My daughter is 15 months and all DRAMA. Daycare doesn't help the situation, I think she picks up on the older kids bad habits like hitting and melt downs. ugh make it stop!!
Give yourself a break – Ikea has awesome (and cheap) avent calendars 🙂 I agree with Sara the tantrums actually get a little better once talking picks up. Callie defiantly went through a phase of just being DRAMA for almost a month and then just mellowed out as communication picks up. Just hang in there and keep stock in his favorite "treat" type foods! A little bribery goes a long way! HUGS!
Love the print – it definitely suits you!:) And you've convinced me. I've heard of the apple cider vinegar rinse before, but been too scared to try it. Until now. If it works for your hair, I trust it to work on mine too!
The print from #2 is SO cute! I agree. It would look wonderful on your gallery wall.
We're going to do "Truth in the tinsel" this year for advent. I'm trying to decide whether I should buy an advent calendar for just make a paper chain like they suggest….I'll probably end up going with the free option 🙂
Hudson is too cute even while having a meltdown! Thanks for the vinegar trick! I use apple
Cider vinegar for my allergies, but I'll try this too! I need all of the shine I can get 🙂 have a great wknd!!
Don't even get me started on social media inadequacies. Four words. Elf on the Shelf. I don't do it because I just can't be that cute and creative every darn day. Will my kids be the only one on the street that isn't being entertained by a little elf? Oh well. 🙂
My new apartment has REALLY hard water – I got the cider vinegar into the bathroom but I've been too lazy to put it on. Guess I'll get on that tomorrow, I'm hoping it'll help. I feel like my hair is so junky lately!
Thank you for the hair tips! I have curly red hair as well (and yay for sweet redheaded toddler boys!! Our sons would SO be friends!). I will have to try your trick!

My son turned two this past weekend and I got my first two year old email from Babycenter (it was titled "My Preschooler" which I about died). Anyways it did say that everyone refers to the terrible two's but it typically comes during the second year of life which is what Hudson is experiencing now. Hopefully that makes you feel a little bit better:).
Have a great weekend!
Happy Birthday to your husband!
And ohhhh boy do I fell yah with the case of the terrible twos hitting a bit early, and hard! I hope that I haven't turned my babe into a spoiled little thing but man does she ever lose it so quickly if things don't go her way. It has to be the age , right. I am now totally freaked at what's to come.
Never heard of that vineger trick! Your hair looks great so I'll have to give it a try real soon. 🙂 Whitney
