22 Weeks

Photobucket
How far along? 22 weeks. Baby is the size of a papaya. According to The Bump, the baby was a cantaloupe two weeks ago. Where in the world can I find a cantaloupe that is smaller than a papaya? So, basically who knows how big this baby really is.
Maternity clothes? My maternity dress pants from the Gap are still too big…so I’m still wearing my regular pants with the bella band…it’s sort of pathetic. And I can’t stand to wear my jeans with the band anymore because it feels like my pants are falling down! Other than that leggings and my normal dresses are fitting great.
Stretch marks? Not yet. I bought Burt’s Bees Mama Butter…hope it works!
Sleep: Sleeping like a rock until I have to get up to go to the bathroom. Let’s be real…that was true about me before I was pregnant too.

Best moment this week:  Antiquing with my mom.
Miss Anything? Nope!
Movement: Lots of kicks and jabs. He’s an active little guy!
Food cravings: Chocolate milk. I seriously can’t get enough. And candy. And ice cream. You know….all the healthy stuff.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not really.
Gender: It’s a boy!
Labor Signs: Way too early. It will be so weird when I actually have an answer for this question.
Symptoms: According to my hair stylist my hair is getting lighter! He said it happens a lot during pregnancy….has this happened to anyone else? My hair texture is different too. Other than that, just the usual….the bump is officially here to stay!
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Mood: Happy. And tired. Last weekend wore me out. I’m still behind on cleaning and laundry.

Looking forward to: Decorating the nursery and finally getting some maternity jeans.

No answering the labor question. I'll allow it at 38 weeks but not a moment sooner… I want that little guy cooking for a long time to come 🙂

    So flippin' adorable 🙂

My hair is more red now, my bf's brother asked if I had red hair when we were in New Mexico..he had no idea I was pregnant at the time. I just asked one of my best friends, who I work with, and she said yes it does. Crazy stuff 🙂

As for the lotion on the belly – sounds crazy but same friend as mentioned above swore by it for no stretch marks…she wrapped her belly in saran wrap!! She would apply Vitamin E(from the oral capsules, not the lotion) and some other body butter then wrap saran and then the band on maternity pants. She didn't get any..I know it's all genetic but if you get desperate at any point…haha.

You're looking great! And I second what Erin V said…no labor signs till at least 38 weeks! I can't say anything about my hair getting lighter, but I also craved chocolate milk, and I'm not a huge fan of chocolate. Drank a glass almost every night! Also craved peanut butter 🙂 (That one made more sense to me….pb&j sandwich, pb toast, pb on celery, pb on crackers, pb with carrots…it goes on SO many things, lol)

You look so beautiful! I always laughed at Leah's updates and wondered how they come up with those fruits and vegetables! I would think a papaya is smaller than a cantaloupe! Oh well, at least he's growing and kicking!

22 weeks brings back so many memories! That was the day I was admitted to the hospital in early labor with the triplets – and 5 weeks later they were born…could you imagine?! You look great! Love your little tummy:)

You look fabulous, love. 22 weeks! Woo hoo! My hair didn't get lighter, but it definitely got thicker and looked healthier than it has for a while. I'll take it! I'm sure as soon as this baby arrives it'll all fall out and I'll be close to bald. Isn't that how it always works out? And I hear you on the chocolate milk and ice cream! I'm craving the exact same thing right now!
