How We Structure Our Summer Days

How We Structure Our Summer Days

Okay, let’s be honest. Who else simultaneously loves the idea of summer break (no lunches to pack, no more getting everyone up early and out the door, less routine) while also sort of dreading it? The thought of three months of coming up with ways to entertain my three kids at home is daunting to me. What will we do all day, EVERY DAY? It’s ... Read More

Sadie is FOUR

Sadie is FOUR

Our sweet Sadie Mae is FOUR today! Sadie is such a blessing to everyone she meets. She is the kindest, sweetest, spunkiest girl around. She gives freely and loves her family with her whole heart. She gives the BEST hugs. And always a rapid fire of kisses. At her birthday party, one little girl wanted to open up the present she brought for ... Read More

Mommy + Me Photo Session

Mommy + Me Photo Session

For Mother's Day this year I treated myself to something special. A mommy + me photo session with my three little loves. It's so hard to get in the picture these days. But it's so important. I will cherish these photos of me and my babies forever. Thank you so much to Kellie from Hetler Photography for capturing my crazy crew! It was so hard to ... Read More

It really is true when they say the days are long It really is true when they say the days are long but the years are short. One day I’m struggling to carry two babies at a time while wrangling a toddler and then next minute they are all off to school and practices and friends’ houses. With all three kids in school we’ve been thinking a lot about their futures and how we are going to one day pay for college. We set up a Michigan Education Trust 529 plan for each of our kids when they were babies and I am SO happy we did! With a MET account, we can pay for future college tuition at today’s prices. With MET’s discounted age-based pricing the earlier you start, the more you are able to save! Plus grandparents and other loved ones can contribute to my kids’ accounts too! With MET you get back what you put in if your child chooses a different path and the money goes with you if your child goes to school out of state. You can even transfer it to immediate family members and all contributions to MET plans are tax deductible! To learn more about how to set up a MET account and the benefits of starting your child’s account early, check out my stories or the link in my bio. @mieducationtrust #sponsored #SETwithMET #MI529 #collegesavings #METSept2023
