13 Weeks

Thank you again for all of your sweet comments on my Baby “R” post! The husband and I are very excited to have a little one on the way. This baby will be the first grandchild for both of our families….so to say that he or she will be spoiled is and understatement! For those of you who’ve asked, yes we plan on finding out the sex of our baby some time next month and we can’t wait!
I am 14 weeks along which means Baby R is expected to arrive on September 5th. And everything they say about the second trimester is true. I’m starting to feel more like myself each day. Minus the mini baby bump of course!

Here I am last week. I’m officially never wearing horizontal stripes again.

For those of you who’ve asked the chalkboard was a gift from my mom. She picked it up at an antique market.

And now, here is last weeks update, (Natasha, I hope you don’t mind that I copied your format!)

Photobucket

How far along? 13 Weeks
Total weight gain: 3 pounds…..this is the one and only time I will answer this question.
Maternity clothes? Not yet! But I did pick up some extra long maternity tank tops from Old Navy on sale. I am in love with the length and will probably be wearing them soon!

Stretch marks? No, but I think I will be one of those unlucky people who do get them. Any lotion or cream recommendations?

Sleep: I wake up about twice during the night to go to the bathroom. I’m usually a stomach sleeper but can’t get comfortable because my tots hurt so badly! And let’s face it…side sleeping is no fun.

Best moment this week:  Starting to feel less sick every day!

Miss Anything? Sleeping comfortably on my stomach and being able to eat raw veggies. Oh, and staying up later than 9:00 at night.
Movement: Nope
Food cravings: Raspberries, cottage cheese, and lemon meringue pie
Anything making you queasy or sick: Yes! Any kind of meat other than chicken, broccoli, carrots, red peppers (used to be my favorite!), Greek yogurt, and the smell of fish or smoke.
Gender: We will find out in April.
Labor Signs: No

Symptoms: Tired all the time, mild nausea all day long, and sore tots.
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Mood: Excited
Looking forward to:  Revealing our big news on the blog!

I also picked up those maternity tanks at Old Navy, but haven't worn them yet!

I have been using the Burt's Bees belly butter and I like it! I have heard it works well and it isn't too greasy feeling.

Greek yogurt made me gag during my first trimester but somewhere during I think the 16/17th week I gave it another shot and it was great. Hopefully the food aversions won't last too much longer! 🙂

I have been reading your blog since almost the beginning and have only commmented a time or two. But, I just wanted to congratulate you and your husband on the impending birth of your baby.

Also, I was wondering if you happened to be at Cracker Barrel on Sat. night? My husband and I were there and I thought I recognized you and your husband dining there. If it was indeed you, you are as gorgeous in "real life" as the pictures on your blog.
