Wrigley Loves Ikea Too and Other Random Stuff

Today I thought I would share some of my finds from our Ikea shopping trip over the weekend. For those of you who left comments yesterday about never having visited Ikea before….what are you waiting for? Go for it! Even if you don’t buy anything it’s a fun place to visit. Plus they have chocolate cake.

Wrigley wants to go to Ikea too. Isn’t he handsome with his fur going every which way? He just had a bath yesterday, but for some reason I can never get his hair to lay flat. Wrigley was really interested in what I bought….plus he loves to have his picture taken.

Photobucket
My loot. And yes, my mom has Ikea shopping bags. Totally came in handy.

Photobucket
I snatched up these galvanized pots for $1.99 and $0.99! Score. Wrigley loved them too. I have no idea what I am going to do with them, but for that price I don’t care!

Photobucket
I also picked up two of these square baskets. I’ll show you what I’m going to do with them in a second. I think they were $12.99 each.

Photobucket
You can never have too many white frames! These ranged from $1.99-$10.99. Pretty good deal if you ask me!

I’m going to use the frames to start a gallery wall in my hallway. Sort of like this one from Young House Love, but mine will probably a little less grand. I’ll keep you updated.

Photobucket
Wrigley started to loose interest.

Photobucket
Okay, back to the baskets. See those two on the bottom there? I’ve had this cubby shelving unit for several years and now I think I need a little more storage. So the two new baskets will join those other two on the bottom.

Photobucket
I swapped out several items on this unit and forgot to show you! I tried to incorporate some of my grandma’s mason jars, milk glass, and jadeite. Plus my favorite polka dot bowls.

Photobucket
I already have some pumpkins just waiting to be put on display….bring on the fall!

I hear a good trip to Ikea! Sounds like you got a lot of great things! I love their tall bookshelves and hope to line our office with them. We have about one wall filled right now and just love the look of it! Thankfully they were reasonable enough that we could afford to do it!

I was thinking that a fun idea for those pots that you bought would be to get some fall mums to plant inside them and maybe spray paint your initials on the outside. Might make for a cute fall centerpiece for your table! ๐Ÿ™‚

I'm so jealous! I can't wait to go to IKEA! The nearest one is 2 hours away. Luckily we have a Trader's Joe and Home Goods less than 30 min. away. I love all of your hobnail milk glass and other vintage glassware! I collect hobnail milk glass and turquoise and white glassware. Those polka dot bowls are fantastic!

I completely agree that you can never have enough white frames. I wanted to do a gallery wall in our study. So I decided to spray paint a few old mix matched frames all white. Good luck with your gallery wall!!! Cant wait to see pics.
