Wish List for Baby #2

Wish List for Baby #2
Solly Baby Wrap / Ollie Swaddle / Bip and Bop Necklace / Covered Goods Nursing Cover
Ubbi Pail / Mattress Pad / 2nd Seat / Peekawhoo Bunny
Freshly Picked Moccs / MamaRoo
Since we already have a baby, we won’t be buying too many things for baby #2….but I did learn some things since having Hudson, specifically what worked for us and what didn’t. And, I’ve discovered some new products these past two years that I would love to add to our routine!
First up is the Solly Baby Wrap. Hudson LOVED to be held….and I think without some type of wrap I would have lost my mind. With this baby, I’m pretty sure I’ll need to multi-task even more, so having my hands free is super important. We have the moby wrap but I never really loved it. I’ve heard so many great things about the Solly so it’s definitely on my wish list! Plus I love the stripe pattern…so cute.
I also learned about the Ollie Swaddle blanket via instagram and it has me super intrigued. Hudson loved to be swaddled and these blankets apparently are the best. And super soft. They only come in pink and blue so I guess I’ll have to wait to buy this one!
My new obsession is Bip and Bop necklaces, another fun discovery from instagram! During my trip to San Francisco last week I was missing Hudson big time. I have an “H” necklace I wear, but wanted another one that was a little bigger….so I pulled the trigger and bought this one. Bip and Bop sells individual charms so once we have this baby I’ll be able to add a charm to my necklace. Jon, if you are reading this (and you better be!) I just made this easy on you.
As many of you know, I breastfed Hudson for over a year. We didn’t do much feeding in public but I think that with a two year old in tow I’ll need to do it much more frequently. I’m in love with this cover from Covered Goods that also doubles as a scarf AND a carseat cover. This is already on it’s way to our house and I can’t wait to try it out!
As for diaper pails, I think we’ll probably need another one since it is unlikely Hudson will be potty trained by June. I sort of kind of am starting to hate the diaper genie. Several bloggers have recommended the Ubbi Pail so I’d like to give it a try. You don’t have to buy special bags for this one, which makes it a winner in my book.
Waterproof mattress pad. Need I say more? Hudson’s are pretty worn out, so I’m going to pick up a few of these, which my favorites of the brands we have.
We have the Baby Jogger City Select stroller and have LOVED it. I specifically got it knowing it would be easy to add a second seat. Totally one of our best baby purchases. So it looks like it’s time to add that second seat. Red please!
Hudson and I both love his monogrammed bunny from Peekawhoo. It’s soft and cuddly and makes a great baby gift. My friends at Peekawhoo are already standing by, waiting for a name so they can get the bunny to us. I can’t wait!
We love Freshly Picked moccasins….doesn’t everyone? They stay on baby’s feet and are super cute. I didn’t use these until Hudson was walking but I think they would make a great shoe for a baby. And stay on so much better than socks!
And finally, I’d really like to try the MamaRoo. Hudson loved his swing but this one does so much more! Plus it takes up less space which means more room for Hudson’s toys!
What’s on your baby #2 wish list?

Several of these items are on my wish list for baby #2. Especially the Solly wrap – can't wait to try it:) But the Bip and Bop necklace was one I hadn't seen. And I love it! Particularly because you can add charms! Thanks for sharing, Julie!

I'm all about reading these posts as I'm four weeks (or less) away from having my second! I had the mamaroo on my list and we got it, love it, I hope baby does too! I've heard great things about the solly wrap, never seen those swaddles, interesting!

We love our Ubbi diaper pail! It has never broken or given us any troubles, and like you said it's so awesome to not need special bags for it! One less thing on the Target / Amazon list!

This is pretty much my "must have" list for babe number two! The covered goods cover is the most amazing thing ever (I have two! It's that good!). And the solly wrap saves me in errands so so much! And I can't wait until kenz is old enough for her mamaroo!

I love this list because it looks just like mine!! 🙂 I feel like I know what products work (and don't work), and I can't wait to try out a few new things with Louise! I have heard such great things about the Ubbi Pail…we have the Diaper Dekor, and I loved it, but the bags are expensive and the top broke, which totally lets the odors out. Thanks for sharing about the swaddle and the nursing cover…I just added them to my list!

MamaRoo was our jam with our baby! It's the best thing ever. We have the older version but the new ones can be adjusted via a smart app. Totally agree y'all need this. And I second the diaper genie being more annoying than anything.

Great list! My son did not love his swing, so we're looking for a new one for baby #2 as well. I'll check mama roo out!

With our first baby we stuck to lots of basics because there were so many expenses with a new baby & getting all the gear for the first time. This time around we have just about everything we *need* so I'm looking forward to some fun stuff! I can't wait to get a Solly Baby wrap, I love our Moby but it's just so thick/hot and this will be a summer baby. I haven't ever splurged on baby moccs but I think we will this time! I also love the Cover! I'm all for multi-use products!!

So I just wrote a review on the Solly Baby Wrap. It is amazing! Read my review here: http://www.girlvtheworld.com/2015/02/solly-baby-wrap-review/

Also, I had the Ubbi pail with baby #1 and we were not impressed. It broke within months and was horrible about keeping in the smell. For our second baby we chose the good ol' Diaper Genie and it works so much better.

    Blessings to you, mama!

I have several of the covered goods covers and I love them. It's so convienent having it as a car seat cover and then if my baby gets hungry I know I'm covered too. Plus I always get compliments on them.

I'm late to commenting on this post, but having a baby is a good reason 🙂 I actually now have some insight into a couple of these things:
    * Solly Wrap is AWESOME. I love it and I need to buy another one (because they just came out with their new colors and I'm lusting over some of them)
    * I actually started with the rockaRoo instead of the mamaRoo, because it was cheaper and I wanted to see if she could dig that one first. Turns out that she loves it! SCORE!
    * Thanks for the necklace reminder; I have one similar and I need to add my daughter's name to it!
