Sadie turned 6 and we celebrated with the cutest little painting party with her girlfriends! We wanted to keep the party outside and when I suggested a painting party Sadie’s face lit up! This girl loves to paint and create. These AMAZING balloons were made by my friend Angela and they stole the show! Sadie LOVED them! If you live in West Michigan you need Angela to make your balloons….seriously draw dropping. Check her out on Facebook here. (I’ll link everything at the bottom of this post)
Each girl had her own canvas to paint that I propped up with these adorable mini easels.
The girls also got to paint a fairy wand and I had several other little things on hand for them to paint too. Based on my own kids, I knew some kids would fly through these projects and some would take their time so I wanted them to have plenty of options to paint to occupy them. I also found simple little palates so each girl would have her own too. Oh and some sparkly gems to decorate their work!
I also covered the tables with the cutest mermaid print wipeable vinyl table cloths.
I bought extra table cloths to use as fabric for these adorable aprons! My mom made an apron for each girl and they turned out so cute! We sent them home with the girls and the moms all loved them.
So much fun! They were all so cute in their matching aprons.
Belle had fun being with the big girls! She took her painting very seriously.
I loved seeing what they came up with.
Here you can see the other little wooden objects I had for the girls to paint: butterflies, unicorns, and rainbows.
Look at these little artists!
If you decide to have a painting party, here are a few tips:
-
Aprons are a must!
-
Hold your party outside if possible
-
Have lots of hand wipes for the girls to use to clean up easily
-
Pour the paint in each child’s pallet right before everyone arrives. (I didn’t do this and it was a bit of a scramble to get everyone all the paint colors).
-
Have lots of extra paintbrushes on the table
-
Have a few options of things to paint for kids who paint quickly
-
Use washable paint

This is the cutest party idea ever!
It was a great party and the little girls were so sweet. You took care of every detail and I think they all had a good time!
Oh this is so sweet! Happy birthday to Sadie!
I love their aprons so much! And how everything coordinates! Such a cute party.
