Sadie Mae: 6 Months

Our sweet Sadie girl is 6 months old today! Happy half birthday pretty girl!

Sadie is such a sweetie. She has the best smile, the biggest blue eyes, and the cutest giggle. We just can’t get enough of her.

We had our first “sick” doctor’s visit last week. Sadie has had a cold and cough for a while and was just irritable, so I took her to rule out an ear infection. Thankfully her ears were perfect! But her little cough and horse voice is just the saddest thing ever. As of today she’s finally starting to feel better!

Sadie weighs about 20 pounds and I’m not sure how long she is….my guess would be 27 inches or so. She has 1 tooth and  wears mostly 6-9 month clothing and 9 month pjs….just like her brother.

And sleep? What’s that. This girl is not a fan of sleeping. I didn’t think it was possible to have a child that slept worse than Hudson did. Well….I was wrong. We are up all night. And by all night I mean at least 3 times, usually more.
And naps are still about 20-40 minutes. I seriously don’t know how she does it.

As for milestones, this month Sadie started to sit up on her own. She thinks she’s hot stuff. She LOVES to sit and play with her toys, watch her big brother act a fool, bounce in her jumperoo, take baths with Hudson, and put everything and anything in her mouth.

She also had her first time away from mommy. And while it was rough the first day (didn’t want to take a bottle, was super confused), she did better the next day. And I missed my sweet girl SO much. In an effort to get her to eat something that first day my husband gave Sadie her first taste of rice cereal. And she gobbled it up. Since then she hasn’t been very interested in food….unless we are eating it, then she’s grabby mcgrabberson. I made her some sweet potatoes yesterday and she seemed to like them. But really, all this baby food business is more of a hassle than anything. So we don’t push it.

This girl is everything. And adored by us. We couldn’t ask for more.

She looks so similar to Hudson! And her and Finn are destined to be buddies. They can party all night and enjoy their first tooth together!

20 pounds! Such a chunk I love it.

Isn't baby food such a hassle? I feel like such a grinch for saying it but I'm like blahhh so messy, takes so long…..etc.

ANYWAY. Adore her. I'm just loving our 6 monthers!!

A. Dance her little booty off
B. Just stand there and stare
C. Cry
I’m hoping for A, but B and C are definite possibilities. What do you think will happen?

But I will keep this memory forever.
