Personalized Father’s Day Snack Crate

It’s almost Father’s Day and I am so excited! I love a chance to make someone feel special, especially when that someone is the love of my life and the father of my children! This year the kids helped me pick out all of daddy’s favorite snacks to make daddy his own snack crate! It was the perfect opportunity to put my new Cricut Joy™ and Smart Materials™ to work and it was so much fun. In our house the snacks are usually all about the kids so I know my husband will be so excited to have is own snack crate that’s just for him.

The amazing new Cricut Joy and Smart Materials were the ultimate tools for creating the perfect personalized gift for dad for Father’s day. I’ve always been a bit intimidated by vinyl cutting machines but the Cricut Joy was SO easy and fun to use. The Cricut Joy has quickly risen to the rank of my favorite crafting tool and it’s the perfect size for the projects I like to do…mainly labeling and organizing things! Oh and making things cute!

Here’s what you’ll need to get started:

Cricut Joy

Starter Tool Set

Smarty Vinyl

Transfer Tape

Cricut Joy Pens

Cricut Joy Insert Cards

Card Mat

Smart Materials are designed especially for the Cricut Joy. They don’t require a cutting mat and are already sized to the width of the Cricut Joy so you can feed your Smart Materials directly into the machine. This makes projects like my super fast and really easy. The Cricut Joy can cut many of the regular Cricut materials if you already own them too!

To make “Daddy’s Snacks” I simply picked a Cricut font I liked and sized it using their easy to use software. Then in about 40 seconds, my Cricut Joy cut it out for me!

Using Smart Transfer Tape I was able to easily transfer my new label to a crate I picked up at a craft store. Super easy!

After I finished the snack crate, I let my kids pick out a fun Father’s Day card design from the amazing options offered by Cricut Joy! Making these fun cards is for sure going to come in handy for so many special occasions. The instructions were so easy to follow. I simply placed an Insert Card into my Card Mat and let the Cricut Joy do the work for me. My kids LOVED watching this part!

Hudson, Sadie, and Belle are so excited to give daddy his snack crate and special Father’s Day card! And I’m so excited to make labels and spruce up all of our things with my Cricut Joy.

This post is sponsored by Cricut Joy but all opinions are my own.

It really is true when they say the days are long It really is true when they say the days are long but the years are short. One day I’m struggling to carry two babies at a time while wrangling a toddler and then next minute they are all off to school and practices and friends’ houses. With all three kids in school we’ve been thinking a lot about their futures and how we are going to one day pay for college. We set up a Michigan Education Trust 529 plan for each of our kids when they were babies and I am SO happy we did! With a MET account, we can pay for future college tuition at today’s prices. With MET’s discounted age-based pricing the earlier you start, the more you are able to save! Plus grandparents and other loved ones can contribute to my kids’ accounts too! With MET you get back what you put in if your child chooses a different path and the money goes with you if your child goes to school out of state. You can even transfer it to immediate family members and all contributions to MET plans are tax deductible! To learn more about how to set up a MET account and the benefits of starting your child’s account early, check out my stories or the link in my bio. @mieducationtrust #sponsored #SETwithMET #MI529 #collegesavings #METSept2023
