P is for POOL!

Over the weekend we finally busted out Hudson’s blow up pool! We bought it last year and never used it….which is a shame, because he was OBSESSED! We basically spent all weekend in this pool. (I can’t seem to find the one we bought online…this one seems similar)
Hudson would chant “water! outside!” over and over again until we let him out to play.
Best purchase ever. We worked on counting “1, 2, 3 splash!” over and over….so far he’s really good at saying “2” while we say the rest.

Say no to crack….unless your crack is this cute.
It was H-O-T this weekend so when we weren’t playing in the pool we cooled off with some mason jars full of cold water and rocked just a diaper (Hudson, not us!). During my pre-mama days I would never have thought I would let my child run around in just a diaper. Silly me. Never say never.
AND Hudson gave us a 3 hour nap both days. Hallelujah! I’m contributing this to lots of play time plus me remembering to use our much loved lavender essential oil on his feet (mixed with baby lotion) at nap time. We always oil him up at bedtime but for some reason I can never remember to do it for naps….thank goodness I remembered this weekend because as any parent knows….nap time is the best time of the day! But I still miss him when he sleeps….#mamaproblems

Happy Monday!

absolutely. i guard kaye's sleep like it's my job. because it's literally my job. i don't want to see that gal for at least 2.5 hours from noon – 2:30 or 3 pm every single day. i need to get kaye a pool stat. it's heating up in these parts!

I really need to get some essential oils. I keep reading about them and really think they can help us in some areas. Also, love Hudson's mason jar cup. We just bought that one from Target this weekend and I think it's the most toddler friendly I've found so far.

That pool looks like SO much fun! Ethan wants one now!! And I should try the essential oils…we usually lather him in lavender lotion but I never thought of using oil before. Great idea!

We've got a bigger blow up pool for some family water fun and then Aria has a little one similar to yours minus the fabulous rainbow bit that she loves stomping in. Ahhh summer!

You've got some great pictures going on in this post, lady!

I'm a nap Nazi. We are home by 1pm every single day still because no one messes with those few hours of rest. NO ONE.

He looks like he is having the greatest time in that cute pool! And his hair makes him look like such a big boy! Yay for 3 hour naps!! 🙂

He is the cutest! And aren't 3 hours naps the greatest thing that ever happened to summer? Mac did the same thing over vacation. Glorious. And I'm hearing about these oils everywhere! I need more info. I'd love to try a few but have no idea where to even start or what to do with them.

I so want to get a pool for Ellie. I think she would have so much fun because she loves baths. Also I am thinking I would like to get into essential oils. I just want to start with one, which do you think is the best?

Lincoln's been running around in just underwear. I always said I'd never let him do that. Do what you gotta do, right? He's a cutie!
