My Greatest Accomplishment

We had a wonderful Mother’s Day. I am beyond thankful for these two. Her sweet face and chubby legs. And that smiling boy who first made me a mama.
Sometimes I pinch myself that I get to call them mine.

On Sunday my mom told me that I was her greatest accomplishment. And wow….what a compliment that is. Especially coming from someone SO accomplished. All I could do was nod my head and choke back the tears. Because I totally get it. Hudson and Sadie are absolutely my greatest accomplishments too.

Mother’s Day has always been a happy one for me…because I have been blessed with the most amazing mom. And now I get to be one too. I know it’s a hard day for some of you….and I want you to know that you are not overlooked. You were prayed for this weekend, and always.

Beautiful! What a wonderful compliment from your mom. I would have choked up too. That just tugs at my heart. Isn't it amazing how our accomplishments change once becoming moms? I completely agree.

It's a crazy thing how we can't really understand the love our mothers have for us until we become mothers ourselves, isn't it? I never comprehended all that my mom did for me until having Caleb and Vivian, and now I think she is the most amazing person in the world for all she's done – and hope to be at least a 1/4 as good of a mother as she has been! So glad you had a good Mother's Day, sweet friend, and were able to spend it with your mama as well!

I feel the same way. Get emotional when my mom says that to me but I get it since I feel the exact way about Noah. And I can't even imagine not having my mom around!

The best post- and the sweetest comment from your Mom. How amazing it is to finally understand your Mom on another level now that you're a Mom yourself. It's really cool.
