My First Mother’s Day

 photo DSC_1121.jpg
I am so blessed to be this little boy’s mommy. We had a great 1st Mother’s Day relaxing at my mom’s lake house. (And yes, Hudson is capable of smiling…he just was not having it that day!)

It was SO cold all weekend so instead of hanging out in the sun and canoeing, we stayed warm inside and kept busy reading books, playing with toys, and eating good food!

My mom made fried apples. So so so good.

I’m so grateful for my boys. You can tell how cold we were based on Hudson’s face!

There are a lot of Amish farms by my mom’s house so we stopped at one to pick up some beautiful hanging baskets….love them!

My spring porch needs some work!

I hope you all had a great Mother’s day. I know it can be a hard day for some of you who are wishing for a baby or who are missing your own mom. You were all in my thoughts and prayers this weekend.

………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..

Now…I want to introduce you to an awesome mom and blogger!
Hello The Girl in the Red Shoes readers!! My name is Cat and I blog at my little piece of internet awesomeness – Letters to Baby MC. I am so excited and honored to be posting here on Julie’s fabulous space today!

Over at Letters to Baby MC, I blog about being a first time mom to our little preemie bundle of joy born at 27 weeks + being a wife to a computer nerd writing his dissertation to finish his PhD.
I also blog about the new house we are building + design inspiration for our new home, how much I love my crazy job working with college students as a Dean, all the traveling our little family does and anything else that pops into my crazy head!
I hope to meet you over at my little space soon and thank you so much Julie for having me!!
