Monday Monday

Happy Monday! There’s been some progress on our kitchen makeover! Even though it’s not done I’m already in love with the white cabinets.
Please excuse the iphone photos.

The island turned out amazing. And now that everything is white our kitchen looks so much bigger.
The cabinet doors should be finished this week….can’t wait to have my kitchen back!
In order to avoid the paint fumes we all hung out upstairs in our bedroom…..our animals didn’t seem to mind one bit and loved being all together.
It was still sort of paint fumy on Saturday so we headed to the lake to get away. My mom and I decided to paint the old high chair I used as a baby red….and it turned out SO cute! She ended up buying another chair for her house that we painted blue.
Aren’t they perfect? I can’t pick a favorite…they are both adorable! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!

It changes the look of everything…light and bright! So happy you can enjoy a new kitchen with your new little one in his beautiful red highchair. We painted ours black and now use it for all the grandkiddos. Brings back lots of memories of when our own used it 30 years ago!!

Those highchairs are adorable, your right hard to pick which is cuter! Love them both. I would love to have an old wooden highchair, I think it would look so much cuter in my kitchen than the big new ones we use these days. Loving the kitchen, we have white cabinets, beadboard on our island, and hard wood in out kitchen too! It was our first makeover in our house!

Just came across your blog and I feel a bond with fellow red heads. Do you purposely get animals that match your hair? Haha I have an orange kitten too, but it was a total fluke.
P.S. I hope I look like you when I'm pregnant. You look great.

Monday, Monday

Happy Monday everyone. We had a pretty low key weekend. On Saturday we helped my mom move into a place a little closer to her job and to us! Her lake house, although lovely, is too far away from everything to live there full time. It was the quickest move I’ve ever done and we are so happy to have her just 5 minutes from our house.
The rest of the weekend was spent relaxing and cuddling this guy. Henry is 100% back to normal and feeling good. I also finally got a chance to catch up on some of the new fall tv shows thanks to my dvr.
I loved Up All Night on NBC. This is definitely my new favorite show! If you haven’t seen this yet please check it out asap….you won’t be sorry.
I also gave ABC’s Pan Am a try….and wasn’t impressed. It seemed a little cheesy to me. Did anyone else watch this? I’m not sure it’s going to make the cut.
Surprisingly I really enjoyed NBC’s The Playboy club. It had everything Pan Am was missing. Fun 60’s vibe, amazing clothes, humor, drama, and some action.
Much to my husband’s dismay I really liked Whitney. It comes on right after The Office on NBC and is pretty adorable.
What new shows do you recommend?

So glad Henry is feeling better and y'all had somewhat of a low key weekend! I'm with Jen, I just LOVE new girl. I just watched Pan Am for the first time last night and actually liked it… but maybe it's because I'm in love with that era. Also tried Whitney but could not get over the live audience laughing after everything… drove me nuts!

I love Up All Night! I think it's hilarious. I also like The Playboy Club but I hear it's getting the axe. I think they tried to make it too much like Mad Men, and well nothing compares. Have you tried New Girl (I think it's on Fox). I saw a clip of it and I have it ready to record tonight. I looks great!

Monday Monday

Happy Monday everyone. Our weekend flew by…we had tons of fun celebrating our friend, Mo’s, birthday. Mo and the husband were roommates in college and have remained best friends ever since.

Photobucket
Photobucket
The birthday boy and his amazing Cold Stone mint chocolate chip ice cream cake. It was delicious. So delicious that the husband had a piece of it for breakfast the next day! And let me please point out that the only pictures I managed to take all night involved cake. It could possibly because I had a few drinks that night or more likely it’s just that I love cake. Oops.
In other news we accomplished absolutely nothing all weekend. I waited until Sunday night to do our weekly grocery shopping. Big mistake. They were out of bananas! Who runs out of bananas? Is there a banana shortage that I don’t know about? So now I have to go to another grocery store tonight. I hate grocery shopping. I used to love it but now it just seems like it’s the chore I hate the most. And it’s always crowded at our grocery store…which makes it worse!
Oh and our bathroom remodel starts this week! I still need to pick out the perfect paint color and decide on our shower fixtures. So excited to get the project started!
How was your weekend?

haha it's funny you mentioned the banana shortage because I waited until last night to go grocery shopping as well (I normally go early Sunday mornings) and the grocery store I went to was out of bananas too!! I was NOT a happy camper. but I guess that's what I get for waiting!

I couldn't agree more about HATING grocery shopping! I loath it! I am usually stuck doing it by myself due to our work schedules. There is nothing worse in my mind than lugging heavy grocery sacks from the carport and into our apartment.

    Good luck on your remodel!!
