Mommy and Me

This weekend my husband was out of town so I declared it “Hudson and Mommy’s Weekend of FUN!”….or something like that. 
I loved spending all weekend with my boy. We snuggled in my bed. Watched movies (well, like 20 minutes of a few different movies), played outside, swam in the baby pool, held hands, went to target….you know, basically the most perfect weekend ever.
Hudson also mowed the lawn, obviously.
 On Sunday we went to my friend Tamsen’s son’s birthday party! It was Avengers themed AND at the park. Needless to say Hudson was in heaven…especially when it was time to eat cupcakes! He picked out a green one (that’s my boy!) and WENT TO TOWN. 
 
That cupcake didn’t stand a chance.
After the party (and a mega nap) we played outside some more and made a big mess….but it was totally worth it. I hope Hudson always knows how much I love him. Holding his little hand in mine this weekend reminded me of this quote:
“Mother’s hold their children’s hands for a short while, but their hearts forever”
So true.

  1. Sounds like a perfect weekend to me. Even though I love to have my husband around with the kids, I enjoy when he is out of town too because we can do some extra fun things together:)

  2. "Hudson and Mommy's Weekend of Fun" totally reminds me of "Joey and Janice's Day of Fun" from Friends. Your seems like it was filled with a lot more love though 🙂

  9. Crying – I'm a mess LOL. But that last quote is so true. My big girl is two and the baby is already 12 weeks WAHHHH. It makes you realize how fast time flies. But man is your Hudson a cutie… and what a guy to keep the yard up for you;)

  13. It's so hard when Daddy is gone, but I totally take her out to eat, we stay in our pj's, and we watch too many movies together when he is. So….that helps make it awesome 😉
