Livning Room Ch-Ch-Changes

 photo IMG_3330copy.jpg
File this under the longest project ever. And it’s still not done. You can see what our living room looked like before here. I mentioned a week or so ago that I updated our gallery wall. I am in LOVE with how it turned out. I did it on a whim during Hudson’s nap, so I had to work fast. It’s not perfect but perfection isn’t my goal anymore. I used the technique I posted about here which is awesome because it allows you to move things around before finally deciding on a layout. I start by laying everything out on the ground and spend a good amount of time moving them into a fun layout. Then I make my paper templates and tape them to the wall…after that I ALWAYS end up changing something. So the lesson here is paper templates = a good thing.

Here’s the another angle f the room. You can see Hudson’s toy stash (which is very minimal now in this room) on the right and the top of Wrigley’s noggin on the left.

Hudson’s books are kept in baskets to the right of the couch. And another Wrigley photo bomb in this photo too. Up next for this room is some new paint, new couch, and new chair. I can’t wait!

Easy Canvas Prints sent me the canvas of the three of us reading Guess How Much I Love You, which is one of our favorite books. I am really impressed with the quality of the canvas. It’s pretty heavy duty and the photo turned out great. And it arrived so quickly!

I love how this wall is a mix of frames and textures. The canvas print fits in great with the rest of the wall. I highly recommend Easy Canvas Prints!

Do you have a gallery wall in your home? I sort of want one in every room!
*Easy Canvas Prints sent me a canvas to review, but the opinions are completely my own.

I just put a gallery wall in our living room over the summer and mine is pretty monotone and symmetrical. I love your's! You did a great job!

I've thought about adding one to our family room too, but I'm so worried I'll mess it up and end up with a million holes in the wall. Maybe I should use your method!

I love your gallery wall! I especially love the wood frame with your family name in it! Where did you get that print? And the frame, for that matter. 🙂 You've inspired me to mix it up and add more items to my gallery wall!

Your gallery wall looks stunning and I'm beyond impressed that you got it done in one naptime. Work it, mama! Your house is just lovely. Home décor is not my strong suit, but I'm trying to make my house more homey, so your pictures really provide a vision of bright, cheery, hominess. Thanks for sharing.
