If you really knew me…

Hello my friends and happy Tuesday! Let’s do another little round of “if you really knew me” since there seem to be a few new faces around these parts.
If you really knew me, you’d know…..
I love books written for teenagers. Huger Games, Twilight, Harry Potter, Divergent….bring it on.
I was born and raised in Long Beach, California but now live in Michigan.
In my dvr right now: Pretty Little Liars, The Office, Project Runway, Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Making the Team, Big Bang Theory, Paw Patrol, Aladin, Despicable Me, Toy Story 3, Winnie the Pooh and too many Disney movies to count.
I have a goal of painting my nails every week, but it never happens.
I’m married to this handsome guy, and his name is Jon, but usually I just call him “my husband”…but now you know he has a name. Shocker.
I’m mostly an only child. I have two half-sisters on my dad’s side but they are 12 and 14 years younger than me and live in Alabama.
This boy has my heart…but you probably already knew that.
I cry every time at the end of Toy Story 3 even though I’ve seen it 25 times.

How much the TSwift video below makes me happy. I danced around to this song all morning and if you don’t like this we can’t be friends….

What would I know about you if we were friends?

You are just too cute. And oh my goodness, I could not believe that was Taylor Swift! I've been {very} excited for her new CD. I heard this song on the radio and had no idea it was her. It is definitely a new vibe for her.

I loooooove me some making the team. I think I look forward to it every year! Although it terrifies me to think about what I'd look like in a uniform…

LOVED the Taylor Swift song/video! Can't wait for her next CD. Love her and hate all the hate she gets!

Your DVR looks so similar to mine…what is it with toddlers and Paw Patrol!? Thank goodness they're finally making toys for it.

    My nails never happen either.

The Taylor Swift video makes me so happy too…I bought the song immediately.

And I cry at Toy Story 3 too. Every time.

love this post! When I read that you have Paw Patrol on your DVR I had to laugh. We watch Paw Patrol every day. It is almost exhausting. Yesterday when I was in the shower I heard my little guy screaming for help in the most horrific voice I have ever heard. With shampoo in my hair and soaking wet I ran into the living room. He was sitting perfectly fine in the recliner so I asked why he was screaming. He simply stated he was stuck on a mountain and he was yelling for Ryder and the Paw Patrol team to come rescue him. I couldn't believe it. The life of a boy mom! LOL

Those books are my all time favorite read list as well and I'd be lying if I said I didn't sit in my car in work parking lot for a few more minutes because the new Taylor song came on just as I was pulling in…#addicted.

I'm like that about getting my nails done at the nail place. Sometimes I put it off simply because I can't motivate myself to go. Ha! And I also love the Taylor Swift video/new song. Can't wait for her new album!

Thanks for that. I think I'm going to go play a few more thousand times and make my day a little brighter. 😀

Winnie? Check. Despicable Me? Check. Toy Story? Double check. My nails are never painted (sigh). And I just heard that Taylor Swift song for the first time today and LOVED it. I wasn't the biggest Taylor fan for a while, but she nailed this one. And the video too – love that she's making fun of herself for being known as a wonky/white girl dancer!:) Also, I need her haircut stat. Dying.

If you really knew me

If you really knew me you’d know…

As soon as I get home from work it’s a mad dash to get out of my work clothes AS FAST AS POSSIBLE. Bring on the yoga pants. And no, I don’t do yoga. Ever.

I also wear said yoga pants covered in yogurt and cat hair out in public….and whenever I do I ALWAYS see someone I know.

95% of my photos are taken on my iphone…even though I have a nice DSLR.

I hate drying dishes and putting them away. I don’t mind washing them but drying them is the worst. Oddly enough, I don’t mind emptying the dishwasher. I’m complicated.

I see the best in people.

My hair doesn’t always look like this.

It usually looks like this.

My eyes change color from brown to dark olive green, depending on what I’m wearing. Or at least I like to think that they do.

My favorite season is fall. My least favorite season is the last two months of winter or whenever it gets above 80 degrees. 60-70 degrees is my jam.

I’m sensitive and my feelings get hurt easily.

I hate voicemail. I do a little happy dance when I get in to work and see that I have zero voicemails (which doesn’t happen very often). I don’t mind voicemails on my cell phone, but can’t stand them on my work phone.

When I clap my hands, I have to cross my pointer finger and middle finger on my right hand. I have no idea why I do this but I am certain if I stopped the world would end.

More fun facts about me can be found here.
So…what would I really know about you if we were friends?

  8. Colleen Sullivan says

I always change into sweats when we're home for the day after being out. I can't be comfortable while I clean or cook or play with O if I'm in pants or a skirt.

I hate wearing jeans — that's something most people I know know about me. I'll wear them when I have to or when I think they look better but I'd much rather wear something softer and loser!

    June 3, 2014 at 2:58 pm

I love your transparency, and think I have to go out and buy a pair of those "yoga pants"…right up my alley covered with cat and dog fur. Why is it we always run into people when we head out with our pants in this condition and no make-up on? And the temperature…EZ and I are right with you on that one! And by the way, your little guy makes us smile every day!

I'll widen the weather gap to 60-80. There I am happiest.

My hair is pretty much never styled and I'm currently typing while wearing pajama pants. At 1:30pm. But, I may change into my yoga's later. Livin large.

My husband's eyes change color depending on his mood. It's like a mood ring on his face. Pretty awesome. Super happy and laid back is bright and vibrant blue. Stressed out or not feeling well and they turn really light and grayish. Crazy!

If you really knew me….

 photo julie-10.jpg
If you really knew me, you’d know……

I wake up at 3am worrying about stupid stuff like kindergarten. Hudson isn’t even 18 months old yet and I’m obsessing over kindergarten!
I could eat raspberries, strawberries, and blackberries every day of my life and never get sick of them. Whenever someone asks my favorite food, it’s always raspberries. But don’t you dare come near me with a blueberry! Yuck!
I’m obsessive about sunscreen. It’s a redhead thing.

My least favorite chore is going to the grocery store. I don’t know what it is about grocery shopping, but it just bugs me! It’s never relaxing. Now, Target and Costco on the other hand? I could live at those places. They are like Disneyland compared to grocery shopping.
I can sing all of the lyrics of I’m on a Boat, from Saturday Night Live (and yes, the language is terrible and you will never hear me say those words…..except in this song.) Classy. I’ve got my swim trunks, and my flippie-floppies……

I don’t drink coffee. I think it’s gross. Although I would probably benefit from the caffeine on mornings like this!
Despite not liking coffee, I’m much more of a morning person than an night owl.

photo IMG_3670copy.jpgI don’t think I ever buy myself clothing unless it’s on sale. But Hudson’s clothes? Forget about it. If it’s cute, it’s coming home with us!
I only listen to Country music when I’m in the car. It’s my fav.
My middle name should be procrastination. I don’t function well unless I have a deadline. But what is my real middle name you ask? Christine.
So….what would I really know about you if we were friends?

How funny, I've been drafting a post like this for quite some time. I'm actually learning alot about myself! I LOVE going grocery shopping, late at night when I'm the only one in the store, by myself, with a Starby's because I LOVE coffee! 😉

Loved learning more about you! I totally get the sunscreen thing. My husband is a redhead 🙂 And I too only buy clothes on sale, but if I see something cute for my niece. Forget about it. Lord help me when I have my own child! I'm going to be broke. I used to be a morning person, but now I'm turning into a night owl. It makes mornings difficult when I can't fall asleep – so that's why I am now a coffee drinker. Well, that and because I really like the creamer I use in my coffee 🙂

I've gotten a lot more frugal with my own clothes since having a baby, which I guess is good? Haha. But I do have to disagree…I love coffee!
