Mother’s Day Lovin’

Everything I learned about being a mother, I learned from my mom. I am so thankful that she moved to Michigan to be closer to me….I don’t know what I’d do without her!

I hope you all had a fantastic Mother’s Day. I got to sleep in, got some beautiful flowers for the porch and some just for me, went out for a yummy breakfast with my boys and my mom, did a little antiquing, got a 3 hour nap out of Hudson, spent some time at the park with my boy, and had a great night playing outside. What more could a mama want?

I’ll tell you what a mama wants….a sweet picture with her boy. I
didn’t think it was too much to ask….but Hudson WASN’T having it!
See what I mean? Little stinker.
This was as good as I got. Picture perfect right here….Hudson grabbing my boob and looking dazed. Oh well…there’s always next year, right?
My husband had Hudson color in a page in a journal instead of a card for Mother’s Day. That way, Hudson can draw me a picture or write me a letter in it each year. LOVE it so much!
I’m so grateful for this busy little guy. Being his mama is my greatest joy.
Happy Mother’s Day!

Love the pictures – even though they are not 'picture perfect', one day they will be so fun to look back on and remember Hudson's spunky little personality:) And the journal card? What a cute idea!!! Your husband is too sweet!

It's funny that Erin said "why o why can't kids smile for just one picture" because I actually tried that on my son and what happened? He squirmed away and I got no photo! HA. Kids. Sounds like you had a great day! Happy (belated) Mother's Day!

Gentle. That’s the word I’ve chosen for 2021. Gentle. That’s the word I’ve chosen for 2021. Gentle with my children. Gentle with my family. Gentle with myself. Gentle with those who believe differently than I do. Couldn’t we all use a little more gentleness? After 8 years of raising babies and a crazy 2020 it’s what my mind, body, and soul needs. And my kids and family need it from me too. Have you chosen a word for 2021? If so, let me know what it is! (and thank you @bluegrassred for the word inspo! I heard her talk about it a few times on @pantsuitpolitics and I couldn’t get it out of my head. Exactly what I need for this year!)
