Friday Five

It’s been a while since I’ve done a five on Friday….so let’s do it!

{one} This girl and her dimple. She always wakes up from her nap happy, and I love that about her. She also took stellar naps yesterday, which I also love! And no, she doesn’t wear a bow when she naps. I popped that sucker on her and as soon as I snapped this photo she ripped it off. Sigh.

{two} I stalked this vest online until I saw it come back in stock in my size. It is the softest cutest vest ever. I’m sure I will live in it this summer! They still have medium in stock, so if you want it I suggest you hurry!
{three} I recently signed up to receive the Proverbs 31 Ministries daily devotional via email and it is one of my new favorite things! Have you heard of it? Or have I been living under a rock? Short and sweet and perfect for busy moms. Taking just a few minutes each morning to read their short devotionals has made such a difference for me! This one is my favorite from this past week!

{four} Hudson’s school photos came back this week and of course suckered me in once again. I mean, it’s in a barn, so naturally I love it.

But this shot of his school might be my favorite! Isn’t it the cutest farmhouse you’ve ever seen? Seriously Hudson is one lucky little boy.

{five} The trees have started to bloom around here and it is my most favorite thing! Everything has been so brown brown brown for the past few months (or covered in snow!) so it’s so exciting to see some green and flowers pop up. And that little hand reaching up is pretty sweet too.

Enjoy your Friday friends!

I love that Hudson's school is in a barn, like how cool is that?! Your school pick up snaps always make me laugh!! Love Sadie's little dimple, like so freaking cute… I always wanted to have a baby with dimples but it looks like neither of my kids inherited mine πŸ™

I'm also loving that everything is blooming! Spring is the greatest season, there's something about everything turning green that makes my heart so happy after a long winter!

Friday Five

Yay for Friday! This week kind of kicked my booty.

{one} This little lady decided that sleep is for the birds. She’s up 4-6 times at night. Yes. Bless her. Also pray for me.

{two} In other news, I started drinking coffee. See above as to why.

{three} I took a little “me time” this week and got a

much needed haircut. Only problem? It’s WAY shorter than I had planned. My stylist is on maternity leave so I saw a new girl….which meant I had to actually describe what I wanted instead of my usual “just do whatever you think will look best”…..so now I have short to me hair (it’s all relative…my hair’s still kind of long I guess). I’m getting used to it. And trying to figure out what to do with the hairs at the back of my neck that no longer fit up in my messy top bun. #momhairproblems

{four} I’ve mentioned this before in passing, but I quit my full time, cushy salary, benefits plus action days job to stay home with Hudson and Sadie and work part time from home for Weave Made Media. And to, you know, blog. Turns out a lot of you are curious about my working situation….so I promise to write a post on it. But in the meantime, be prepared for some sponsored posts coming your way next week. I apologize…but as always, I never write about something I can’t stand behind. And the posts are DARN GOOD ONES. I promise. And I’ve worked my booty off taking nice quality photos and really trying to make the posts “me”. So I appreciate in advance you reading, commenting, and CLICKING on them. Because you guys are the best. Seriously. There’s also some giveaways coming too. All that to say PLEASE KEEP READING AND KNOW THAT I LOVE YOU ALL.

{five} Speaking of giveaways…..I’m giving away $50 to spend at my favorite place TARGET! Be sure to enter HERE. Because we all need a little a lot of Target in our lives.
Have a great weekend my friends!

Friday Five

Happy almost Halloween! It’s been a while since I’ve done a 5 on Friday….I was starting to miss it!

{one} Hudson has his school Halloween party today and he gets to go trick or treating tonight AND tomorrow. Lucky duck. Good thing he has multiple costumes. He’ll either be Captain America or Marshall from Paw Patrol (see him in costume here). Gone are the days of me picking out his costume…..this guy has an opinion on everything these days, especially when it comes to what he’ll be wearing on Halloween. The costume choice will be a game time decision, I’m sure.

{two} Over the weekend we went apple picking and had the BEST time. Even Sadie loved it…..and by loved it I mean she was a champ the entire time in her little bunny hat and then fell asleep in the Solly Wrap.

Hudson had a blast running through the trees and picking the perfect apple. He was so proud of his finds and ate two apples on the tractor ride back. HOLY COW…who is this kid?

{three} I made cinnamon rolls yesterday and oh my word…they hit the spot. Details coming soon. And by details, I mean, they were from a can. #reallife

{four} My new favorite thing….this dress. It’s the perfect amount of
comfy yet still looks pulled together. And it hides all my cinnamon-roll-eating imperfections. And it feels like butter. It’s the softest thing in my closet right now. Plus it has pockets. Enough said.

{five} And finally, did you know Costco has Hunter Boots right now? I had no

clue until someone mentioned it on my instagam post. And they are almost half price. You better believe I scooped up another pair. Because with all the rain we’ve had plus the mud at the new house they were necessary. Right? But you better act fast…..a lot of sizes are sold out online but they do have some in store.

Have a great weekend my friends!

Friday Five

Happy Friday everyone! Let’s do this….five things….
{one} I’ve started putting Hudson’s Easter basket together…I know it’s early but I just can’t help myself! He loves to watch random people on youtube open Easter eggs, so he has some pretty high expectations about his basket, I’m sure! I’m on the hunt for cute little non-candy treasures to fill his eggs. And isn’t his monogrammed bunny and bunny basket simply the cutest things you have ever seen? They are from Peekawhoo and I’m in LOVE. Use code “REDSHOES15” for 10% off any size bunny or bunny and bunny basket combination now until March 12th. Monogramming is free!
Here’s another look at Hudson’s bunny. We will keep him forever! I can’t wait to get one for baby #2!

{two} I took Hudson to the dentist for the first time this week…and he did better than I expected. The staff went above and beyond to entertain him and make sure he wasn’t scared. And they polished all but two of his teeth. He kept saying “I want down” but stayed in my lap the whole time….so I got zero pictures of him in the dentist chair. Maybe next time! I was so glad to hear  his teeth look good and he has zero cavities! I want him to always have a positive experience at the dentist’s office because I remember being terrified as a child! I’m so glad I found a dentist we both like. Hudson didn’t want to leave because he was having so much fun playing with the toys and getting presents!

{three} Is anyone watching How to Get Away with Murder on ABC? Oh. My. Gosh. I gasped so loud at the last episode that my husband thought I was in labor. I did the same thing at the end of the season 1 finale. Love this show.
{four} Speaking of shows I love, I’m totally hooked on The Bachelor. I can’t wait to see who Farmer Chris chooses….I actually really like both of the final girls! And I’m so glad Britt is gone…..but I need to know what dry shampoo she uses since she never takes a shower. The girl has gorgeous hair!
{five} I’m currently writing this post while listening to Hudson sing the ABCs over the monitor. All of a sudden he LOVES to sing…and it’s my most favorite thing (except when he should be sleeping. And except when I’ve sung 5 Little Monkeys ten times and am about to loose my mind!)
Enjoy your weekend my friends!

Love that little Peekawho basket and bunny – too cute:) And honestly, I don't think it's too early to start putting together his basket – Easter is less than a month away now. WHERE is the time going!?! I will be watching the Bachelor too, and hoping that Chris picks Whitney. I don't dislike Bekah, but do find her rather boring, and am not sure she'd be up for the farm life and being a wife in general. With no experience in relationships, she worries me! (Ha – so invested in this decision!) Happy Friday, Julie!:)

    March 6, 2015 at 8:28 pm

I have to admit that I have not watched the Bachelor this season, but just going off the pictures I vote for the brunette!!

Yay for the dentist! Ellie had a great first experience too, so that is always a good thing. I am so impressed that Hudson got almost all of his teeth polished! what a good boy he is.

Ellie has also just recently started to get more confident in the verbal department where we are pretty sure she is "talking along" with some of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse stuff. I think she was "singing" Hot Dog this morning and it was so cute!
