Dedicated

 photo IMG_3266copy.jpg
Over the weekend we finally got around to dedicating Hudson at our church! Doesn’t he look thrilled?

Better late than never, right? For those of you who don’t know what a baby dedication is, it is similar to having a baby baptized, except without the actual baptizing part. Our church believes that baptism is something that should be done once you have the ability to choose it….and babies don’t really have that ability. So they usually baptize kids once they are in middle school, high school, or adults. And that’s where baby dedication comes in!

We prayed for Hudson with our family and Jon and I vowed to raise him in a Christian home and teach him about Jesus. Hudson did pretty well at church but really just wanted to run around and play! By the time we got home he was SO OVER it.

I promise he loves his grandma….he just wanted to explore and eat ice cream! My father-in-law has the rest of the pictures on his camera….because I’m a bad blogger.

And there was pie too. My mother-in-law made a supper yummy apple pie, which is my favorite! I ate two pieces and totally could have found room for more.

Hudson scored big time in the book department. We are so thankful for our family for celebrating Hudson with us!

So sweet! What wonderful memories I know you will have from this special day! Caleb's dedication will be in February, and we are looking forward to that day:) (Though not rushing it at all – the time flies way too fast already!)

Awww, happy baby dedication to Mr. Hudson! He looks so handsome. What a special day! We waited til 9 was about 9 months until we finally got her baptized, so it's all good!

How awesome! We dedicated our son on Mothers Day with a LOT of other babies. It was a great day. And the parents of his namesake were able to come and get pictures with him. Such a special day.

I'm happy for y'all! Hudson is blessed to have parents committed to teaching him about Jesus. 🙂

    Hooray for baby dedications!

Do y'all have the Jesus Storybook Bible? It is my hands down absolute favorite "kids" bible. We've been reading it to Abigail since she was a year old and still just love it.

Hudson's such a cutie pie! We dedicated our son when he was about 8 months old, so don't feel bad about not doing it right away.

Hudson is such a cutie pie!!! I was so nervous at Millie's baby dedication, partially b/c we're baptist and I'm a single Mom, but at least I did it is what I say. 🙂
