Christmas Card Lovin’

Now that it’s November it’s time to start thinking about our Christmas card! I LOVE sending and receiving Christmas cards. I love to see what everyone is up to, how their kids have grown, or lives have changed over the year. And I always keep the cards we receive. I’m thinking about making photo books out of them so that we can display cards from each year!

Photobucket

Here is our Christmas card from last year with the lovely photo taken by Erin Vancura. I think it’s my all-time favorite. Last year we ordered through Shutterfly’s blogger promotion and I couldn’t be happier….we got our cards for free! This year I’m having trouble picking out a favorite Christmas photo card.

This one is beyond adorable! I love the chevron print and bright colors.
I love this one too!
How cute is this Holiday card?
Maybe Wrigley should send his own card out this year!
Shutterfly has adorable thank you cards too….I love stationary, don’t you? I can never have enough thank you cards!
There are so many options….I haven’t picked out our card yet but you can bet once I do I will share it with all of you!
Are you sending Christmas cards this year?

I am an adamant card sender (birthdays, anniversaries, just because) so of course Christmas cards are my favorite!! This year I am planning something funny for mine while posing and or kissing Santa. Here in Atlanta the Santa at Phipps Plaza has an amazing set-up so I plan to take my photo with him!! You should choose the last option and put Wrigley as your card this year – I love the last one 🙂

Totally blog stalking you right now! You are too cute! I'm sure you get it constantly but, I love your hair! My favorite things in the world are all gingers…2 best friends, bf (hopefully fiance soon!), and even my pup!

Christmas cards are possibly my favorite part of the season – Wrigley should definitely get his own card! 🙂

I love the look on Jon's face that shows relief that possibly this picture could be the last one taken in 2010….Husbands love the whole "lets go take our Christmas Picture during my favorite college football game" conflict. Great pic of Wrigley. I think Linda is going to go the Shutterfly route again this year also, as they make it so easy. Thanks for sharing…..ez

Christmas Card Lovin’

I love Christmas cards. I love to see what everyone is up to, how their kids have grown, or lives have changed over the year. I like to make a little collage so I can display all the cards we get each year. Some of the fun of receiving Christmas cards is looking at all the beautiful designs! There seem to be so many creative options available these days.
Shutterfly is a great online tool for sharing photos with friends and family as well as ordering high quality photo prints and cards. My experience with Shutterfly has always been great. And I’ve been very pleased with the quality of their products. So needless to say I was thrilled when I heard that Shutterfly is giving away 50 free cards to bloggers who write a post about them. Score! What a great way to spread the word about their fantastic products. As soon as I heard about this campaign I went straight on over to Shutterfly’s Christmas photo cards page to pick out a favorite.

Shutterfly has so many options to choose from. I’m keeping my Christmas card selection a secret for now, but here were a few of my favorite runner ups!
I love the sweet simplicity of this one. So classic but adorable at the same time.
Dying over the monogram on this one! I would have chosen this one for our card but I didn’t want to put that many pictures on it.

Is this not the cutest card you’ve ever seen? And I am sort of in love with the family in the photo too…they look fun!
Scalloped edges? Yes please!
The only thing cuter then this card is the little boy in the photos.
Shutterfly also has adorable Christmas Gift Tags.

Isn’t it adorable? I might need to add these to my wish list.

I’m also loving their selection of Christmas Party Invitations. This one makes me want to host a party just so I can get these cute invites.

So tell me…do you send out photo Christmas cards? Or do you prefer to send a hand written note in a traditional card?

It really is true when they say the days are long It really is true when they say the days are long but the years are short. One day I’m struggling to carry two babies at a time while wrangling a toddler and then next minute they are all off to school and practices and friends’ houses. With all three kids in school we’ve been thinking a lot about their futures and how we are going to one day pay for college. We set up a Michigan Education Trust 529 plan for each of our kids when they were babies and I am SO happy we did! With a MET account, we can pay for future college tuition at today’s prices. With MET’s discounted age-based pricing the earlier you start, the more you are able to save! Plus grandparents and other loved ones can contribute to my kids’ accounts too! With MET you get back what you put in if your child chooses a different path and the money goes with you if your child goes to school out of state. You can even transfer it to immediate family members and all contributions to MET plans are tax deductible!
